Golden Ôzaru, Chibi GT Kakarrot and Legendary Broli

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

With this I would like to say that Saiya-jins and humans don't have to be identical to cross-breed
All male mules are sterile due to horses and donkeys having different numbers of chromosomes. Gohan isn't sterile.
A wolf and a dog can breed, but they aren't the same species or sterile. A wolf is a more ferocious, stronger version of a dog, like a Saiyan seems like a more ferocious, stronger version of humans.
Actually dog and wolf is the same species. Dogs are a sub-species within the wolf species.
But how can Saiyans be a "stronger version of humans" and reproduce with those if they aren't mammals? Or are they? They can't because they are aliens.

"Mammals (formally Mammalia) are a class of vertebrate animals whose females are characterized by the possession of mammary glands while both males and females are characterized by sweat glands [and] hair"

The Saiyans are indeed mammals.

I'm bothered more in a scientific sense than a fandom sense by the idea that a species that developed completely independent of the human race can have a physiology that comes close to ANY Earth species, let alone breed with humans. Oh well...I guess it doesn't have to make sense.

That's why I support forth the theory that the original Saiyan homeworld was Earth.

Also, it's physically impossible for a planet to have gravity ten times stronger than Earth. It'd have to be a lump of solid iron seven times larger than Saturn.

I am now adopting this idea and intend to spout it every chance I get.

This is fantasy, thus a planet can have gravity that was 10 tines that of earth’s. In addition, Toriyama’s notes stated that it was Planet Plant that had the heavier gravity. Unless Herms tells us that the GT Perfect Files says differently for all we know, Planet Saiya had normal gravity.
The Saiyans are very much like the Klingons and Jem'Hadar.

Alas, I have nothing to contribute. Alas indeed.

Good sir, I know what my fantasies entail, and they never involve impossible planets.

But in Dragonball, which is made from Toriyama's fantasy, there are impossible planets. :x
So...as long as we are speaking about Dragonball, there are planets with 10 times Earth's gravity.

But if you simply meant that your own fantasy doesn't involve planets with 10 times Earth's gravity, well...good for you.
No more time for Daizex. Goodbye folks!

Unless this is a Dr. Who reference, I think you need to go write the definition of "fantasy" out on the blackboard 20 times.

It would appear that Herms' sarcasm detector is broken. :P
