I think it's because we never got the right people to make a game like that. I still think we should ditch Spike and find someone new for once.

Bingo.
The biggest Difference between the development of the Naruto games vs the DBZ games is that the Naruto developers are actually fans of the series. So they want to make a game they can be proud of, and that the fans will enjoy. Spike on the other hand....

You mean Haku and Zabuza. You must realize that the games content is limited by how far the anime has gotten. The anime made a huge leap this year giving this game a lot of hype.Anonymous Friend wrote:Wall of Text

Re: Big Bad Bandai Bully.
Well by this board standards not really. Seeing as the First 5 games of the main Naruto Series and its two first psp ports play the same and infact Storm 2 looks to play the same as Storm one with some tweaks which is a major complaint on this board towards the BT series. However the fact that the games were made years before their US ports also helps(except Un5 which didn't get a Us port due to some idiotic fans).mystic trunks wrote:I believe the sixth one is Tag VS.I counted the first three Sparking! games and two Raging Blasts. No you didn't. Just cause your mad at Spike doesn't mean it needs to be carried over to another company.sangofe wrote:Fixed your quote.mystic trunks wrote:How much longer are these games going to be made?

Yeah, I was drawing a blank on their names. I was also posting from my Wii and couldn't look it up without losing what I typed.Saimaroimaru wrote:You mean Haku and Zabuza. I do wish someone would give us another Super DBZ styled game or a more traditional fighting game.

Here are the games that Spike has published and developed. http://games.ign.com/objects/027/027412.html
I haven't even heard most of those games.
Here are the Dimps have developed. http://games.ign.com/objects/027/027683.html
I heard of a lot more here.
Spike, in comparison to Dimps, is a pretty under the radar company.

Re: Big Bad Bandai Bully.
So i'm curious why a massively popular hit franchise like DBZ gets shafted with an "under the radar" company...

Less money is spent on production, while the name brings in more money for the licensor.mystic trunks wrote:So i'm curious why a massively popular hit franchise like DBZ gets shafted with an "under the radar" company...

A good game would have the potential to actually bring in new fans(Like me getting UNS2). unlike now, where pretty much only diehard fans of DBZ are willing to buy these sorry games.

Take for example, Budokai 3. That game had everything right: Perfect number of characters, nice controls, a great look, and enough content to appeal to both fans of the series and average gamers a like. From my knowledge, it had the best ratings and sales over any other Dragonball game.mystic trunks wrote:A good game would have the potential to actually bring in new fans(Like me getting UNS2). unlike now, where pretty much only diehard fans of DBZ are willing to buy these sorry games.

I dunno. According to Amazon.com, Budokai 3 is ranked #1,296 and Tenkaichi 3 is ranked #753 in the top Amazon best-selling games. I didn't want to get numbers from anywhere else, because I didn't trust the sites.SparkyPantsMcGee wrote:Take for example, Budokai 3. Do you have a link that shows this? Also, does that list include the greatest hits version?Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:I dunno. Re: Big Bad Bandai Bully.
Oh I see. The problem is, there are like 3 different versions of the B3, a collectors edition and the greatest hits edition. On top of that, Amazon doesn't give you sales numbers or the sales numbers outside of Amazon. Where is Super Saiyan Prime when you need him?Piccolo Daimaoh wrote:Just google "Budokai 3 Amazon" and "Tenkaichi 3 Amazon".SparkyPantsMcGee wrote: Do you have a link that shows this?
