Buu Saga Confirmed for Dragonball Kai?

Um... they already HAVE skipped huge portions of the manga. The first 198 chapters, in fact.

And, yes, they do have a reason to skip the entire Buu arc: if the show is cancelled, or Toei comes to the conclusion that the show is no longer financially viable. Do I think that's going to happen. No, probably not. But considering what's been coming to light about Kai recently, it's not entirely unrealistic to wonder. But that's the only legitimate reason I can think of.

When I said they haven't skipped much in the manga, I meant it towards the Z era. <_<

And those are reasons, but, I can't see it as being too likely, unless Toei blew more than we thought on pointless pop bands that people who do/would like DB wouldn't really care about...

The point is that for being "true to the Manga", Kai has skipped a lot of it. So it's not totally out of the cards for them to skip a bit more of it.

It's the 20th anniversary of Dragon Ball Z not Dragon Ball.

They wouldn't skip an entire Canon arc (Because I know you'll say Garlic Jr. arc) in the Z portion of the anime.

Bits and pieces of the Buu saga? Obviously. The whole thing? I sincerely doubt it.

No. I'm being rational. They've skipped arcs before. So it's possible for them to do it again, regardless of what portion we're talking about.

No. Dragon Ball Kai is the revised version of Dragon Ball Z. From the first time Kai was announced, it's already been mention that they only will do the Z portion of the Manga. So the Dragon Ball portion of the Manga is even not considered to be included in the first place, while Boo arc is included in the Z portion of the Manga. So it's really likely that they will include that arc, except if they run out of money or something.

There have been so many scenes cut out of the original Dragon Ball. I think DB is much more pervy and sexual than DBZ or Kai. Would have been nice seeing DB remastered with Kai treatment.

On the other hand, I am not sure if they will continue Perfect Cell or not. Well most likely they will. But they stopped making DWC Kai figures with the Imperfect Cell saga, which leads me to believe DB Kai might be coming to an end. Or maybe it's because they are going to wait a little, and then when Kai enters the Perfect Cell saga then they will release more figs? No idea.
