I just think it wouldn't make sense for Piccolo to have tits or wide hips because Namekians only drink water and don't give birth through a vagina. And I'm just assuming Saiyan woman are too Saiyan men as human woman are to human men, also Kuririn would be super insecure about her lack of nose and therefore would kill herself multiple times due to enemies' insults, this would be what sets Goku off.Piccolo Daimao wrote:If they're Saiyans, why would they need testosterone injections? Piccolo would look the same.
And yeah, I believe Piccolo's genderless, although he and the rest of the Namekians all look masculine (since "genderless" in drawn fiction still basically appears as what is perceived as the default gender: male). So I guess you could just give him some eyelashes and a more slender figure.

Namekian's could still be asexual but have a feminine appearance for the sake of it being a genderbent fanservice world.Nex Carnifex wrote:Piccolo would look the same.

Yeah, nor do I. It'd be just as ridiculous as the porn of anthropomorphic breasted reptilians. But it doesn't make sense for Piccolo to have fangs and look pretty damn masculine, so in a gender-swapped world, Piccolo could still be asexual, but just look somewhat feminine. Like the west Kaioushin.Nex Carnifex wrote:I just think it wouldn't make sense for Piccolo to have tits or wide hips because Namekians only drink water and don't give birth through a vagina. And Saiyan females were warriors too. Perhaps weaker than the males on average, but still ridiculously powerful warriors nonetheless. And I doubt Kuririn would literally kill herself over her lack of nose. Not even male Kuririn gets insecure about his appearance. There are just one or two offhand mentions about his small stature and lamentations that he could die having never had a girlfriend (codename for "I'm going to die a virgin").
Gokuu would transform into a Super Saiyan the same way in the original story, only this time...we'd get to see TITS.

Shorter Carnifex: Girls has cooties.
I would definitely give the Namekians a more androgynous appearance in my version of this. Though making their appearance more feminised for consistency with Toriyama's masculine looking Namekians would also be interesting. Nice way to underline that this version of the Dragon World is female-normative.

For Nameks, I'd go for something similar looking to Asaris from Mass Effect, sans breasts. They would not have use for them.
Saiyan women need testosterone? LOL I'm sure Celipa will disagree. Stay classy.

Check out Journey's End, a short story of Goku and Vegeta's final days. "Time is running out for the last two Saiyans"

Re: How would you create a genderbent Dragon Ball?
All right, guys! I thought of some more stuff:
Ms. Satan: Like normal Mr. Satan, his genderswapped self is arrogant, boastful and somewhat cowardly (but is also quite nice and honorable if you get to know her, like normal Satan). She's also quite vain and thinks of herself as the "best at what (s)he does!" Of course, she has gained fame for being the first female martial artist to win the Tenkaichi Budokai since Son Goku (fem!Goku), Jackie Chun (fem!Master Roshi) and (fem!)Tenshinhan, and is stronger than the average human. Her relationship with her son (male!Videl) often boarders on overprotective and smothering, but still quite loving and strong.
(male!)Videl Satan: Like normal Videl, her genderswapped self is hotheaded, extremely aggressive (almost more so...) and tries his best to display a "manly" exterior. In a bit of inspiration from Edward Elric, he dislikes being called "short", and really hates the fact that his ki trainer (and eventual girlfriend/wife) Son Goha is much taller than he is (though, he is taller than normal Videl.) However, he does eventually mellow out once he falls for the half-Saiyan, marries her and becomes a father. He often expresses embarrasment for his mother's egocentric behavior and overprotective nature, but still loves her anyway.
*Can you guys help think of a genderswapped name for him?
(male!)Android 18: Like normal #18, he displays a cold, bored and snarky personality. He often has little patience for people he considers to be "morons" and often cares too much about his appearence. However, he does care a great deal about his family (Krilla and his son Marro (male!Marron) and will do anything to protect them.
(female!)Android 17: Like normal #17, she is somewhat mischievous, tomboyish, free-spirited and often impatient about her brother buying a new outfit at every moment. She is also somewhat too prideful and arrogant about her newfound power, until Piccolo beats her and absorbed by Cell.
Well, that's all for now. Anyway, what do you guys think? Also, should I genderswap Android 16 too?

Not really. Pterosaurs have a hair like covering on their bodies.

Creative liberties? In the original story, the entirety of the asexual Namekian look masculine (at least, in the human way) with facial features, muscles and the like, yet it's not as if they have any testosterone or are packing anything down below.Rocketman wrote:Eyelashes are hair, which is a solely mammalian feature.Piccolo Daimao wrote:So I guess you could just give him some eyelashes and a more slender figure.
It's like in cartoons, where the male characters don't seem to have any visible eyelashes, yet the females do, to better display their features, I guess.

I don't know, really. I never really thought that much about it. I'd imagine most of the main characters would stay pretty much the same, though.Gokuman1993 wrote:Depends on who's writing it out.... If Dragon Ball was genderswapped, it woud NEVER air on TV. 12 year old girl running around naked? A slutty male lead (Bulma)? Nope.

How is it any worse than a 12-year-old (prepubescent) boy running around naked and a slutty female lead who repeatedly has her breasts exposed and is sexually harassed by a man old enough to be her grandfather?sonikku956 wrote:If Dragon Ball was genderswapped, it woud NEVER air on TV. 12 year old girl running around naked? Although I'm currently thinking of that scene at the beginning of the series where Blooma offers to let Gokuu feel her butt if he'll give her his four-star Dragon Ball. I'm not sure it'd work entirely well if Blooma was male and Gokuu was female. Double standards, sure, but comedy works like that sometimes. This basically means that a lot less people would have qualms about a female cock-hungry cougar Kame-sennin hitting on a creeped-out teenage boy. And I suppose that the Playboy bunny costume would be replaced by some leather stripper garb, meaning that the Rabbit Gang would have to be replaced by a gang of girls that look like they've just come out of a leather fetish club. So when the leader touches Blooma, he'd be turned into a dildo or something.

Why not have Boxers ( male-Bulma) offer to let Goku (female) stroke his shenron?
