Nope, not for these "sagas" anyway. Dale "monster truck announcer" Kelly is present in all his cheesy glory.
Not to mention this scene right here.

Starring only 3 voice actors. Take a guess at who voices who.
Christopher Sabat, Linda Young, and...Christopher Sabat? :?
It's been done countless times before, but...

This question has an actual "right" answer.

It's the "Ally to good, nightmare to you" speech. Not a single one of the other thousands of lines in this series more perfectly personifies EXACTLY how badly FUNimation's original dub ruined the story and characterization than that one line. It single handedly shows how they destroyed Son's character and turned him from a simple minded, but pure hearted country boy who likes to fight, to Superman in an orange Gi.

It's still the best moment in the whole anime. 8)

I dunno, Goku berating Cell for trying to rule with a sword of injustice is pretty close.

Gotta love that Dubku.

Yeah, but by the time that line came around, the character-destroying Ally speech had already happened...
It's like dropping your cell phone in a pool. The first time is the one that destroys it, all the rest of the times are just more of the same.

Or how about Goku telling Boo that he's found a way to make him pay for all of his crimes?

See that's the most offensive thing, the Cell Games and Boo arcs were fairly close to their source script for the most part but time and time again they intentionally deviated from that to remind us that they'll be damned if they're changing these characters back to their appropriate personalities. Maybe this is why I refuse to meet the Kai dub 'half way', I'm wise to Funi's bag of tricks.

That was classic until Kai when the "I AM THE SUPER SAIYAN SON GOKU!" line was heard. The dub lines on DBZK is correct replacing the silly lines on the original.

And that's why I like Kai's dub. It's far more accurate to the original JPN version in script, story and characterizations while using an appropriate amount of Woolseyisms that actually work for the series unlike those... other DBZ dubs. I don't care if they still deviating a little bit, they're clearly staying true to the original version as much as possible and I'm not going to get all uptight about any small changes that barely affect the whole show. It may be a dub but it's also an adaptation since certain things wouldn't work in English like in Japanese such as jokes or sentence structure (okay, that can be subjective) but the more faithful to the original, the far better as it is with Kai.

It should have been "I AM THE SUPER SAIYAN, GOKU SON!!" since we write western style, and since Son is only used this one time, it'd been fine.

Goku Son doesn't sound weird just different from the typical Son Goku.

Yet those "small changes" are all pretty much there to appease the old dub crowed, kind of a contradiction of audience and the very opposite of "as close as possible".

As a quick aside a great indicator of how "Woolseyisms" look to people without the nostalgia filter was the Giant Bomb blind run of Chrono Trigger. Every single (unknown to them) "Woolseyism" was met with verbal eye rolling and groans or at the very least a round of 'does that even make sense?'

Actually it sounds weirder. Speaking of which, I wish the dub used Son Goku occasionally as well as Goku. Like in moments of importance such as with Kai's "I AM" speech or moments of formality. I mean, to have your family name said first then your given name outside Japan would go with the Martial Arts theme of the show at least for Goku.
Yet those "small changes" are all pretty much there to appease the old dub crowed, kind of a contradiction of audience and the very opposite of "as close as possible".
Well, you can't please everyone and I never expect you or everybody to have my specific tastes. And I admit that some Wooleyisms might not work but Kai's dub does NOT veer off into the same forbidden territory as the old DBZ dubs did. This is helped when I compare the old dub to Kai's and realize what a godsend it is. What's said in Kai's dub is very often 90% the same thing being said in the JPN version and while it may seem a contradiction, they did say "as possible" meaning "not exactly 100% but more like 90% or around there" and that's good enough for me since that's "as close as possible." I give FUNi leeway since their dub scripts for Anime after DBZ like FMA or YYH tend to be entertaining while I take solace in that they're conveying the same story from Japan.

I'm a dub guy but with bad ones like for Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball, I go for the JPN version. For me, it depends.

Not to mention Funimation hates Yamcha.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.
