Trunks' sword obtaining completely contradicts Future Trunks' history considering Goten exists, everyone's alive and each Saiyan has gone beyond Super Saiyan (Goten and Trunks as Gotenks going Super Saiyan 3). >_>; Not to mention, we hardly ever see that sword from Kid Trunks' timeline again.
*points at GT* Yeah. The "Trunks' sword" arguement is pretty much a moot point by now.
So you mean to say that the insanity and jumping into animated manga format twice in the six episodes, and pretty much most of the punishment Haruko inflicts on Naota before anything attacks the city isn't "random" and happens for a reason? >_> Right.
It's styled to look random, but it makes sense if you actually think about it. FLCL's a deep anime in insane clothing. Apparently, "swinging the bat" is a euphanism.

Movie 13 is post Kid Buu. Kid Trunks isn't seen again in a fighting situation and so has no need to have the sword with him. Besides, movie 13 isn't there to explain how Future Trunks got his sword, just to show how Kid Trunks gets his (and to alude to Kid Trunks growing up to be like his future counterpart).

You know, I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a whole lot of dinosaurs balancing on balls either.
It's party time, Ginyu style!

Ya but songs about dinosaurs balancing on balls doesn't play during the scenes either.

I'd say Movie 11... hands down! But closely followed by Movie 4. What bothered me most about "Bio-Broly" is that the fact that Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Piccolo were not in it made it have the potential for it to be a different, and all around great movie! But bringing back Broly [again!] was overkill, and it's all wrapped up with the most anti-climactic ending in any movie I've ever seen.

I can't stop laughing. Great argument!
I like SOME of the rock music in Movie 4 (like the music used for the title card- as a matter of fact I like it more than the Japanese title card BGM.. my word, did *I* say that??), but all the same, I prefer the original overall (PURISTS FOREVER! YAY!). I mean, there's some really good pieces of BGM there that became a staple of DBZ (like the buildup music before Goku goes "Super" - it was also used in the Trunks special when Trunks sees Gohan's dead body).
I guess what I'm trying to say is, Movie 4 doesn't really bother me that much. And I will say that it *was* a surprise to have Slugg show his true colors as a Namek (it fooled ME, anyway... after all, I did register the connection between Slugg and Piccolo both being green, but I thought it was just a coincidence).

BGM forever! If only more people paid attention to it... well, I intend to change that.

Points made by others are super and I'm just echoing that. Now, the commentaries on FLCL specifically state why things are there, be for sentimental, analytical or just style value. It is made and built in a specific way, by people who know what they were doing. If it were 'random', there wouldn't be any reason for anything to go as it was, and everyone would hate it since it'd be sloppy, badly directed and quite frankly, shit.
Once you realise that the English dub, forever and a day, for Z, consists of lots of badly placed, badly scored techno-punk rock and rewrites, you'll realise it then does actually have a place, regardless of personal tastes and opinions.

I say again - Movie 9 did not fit. Even a small flaw is a flaw enough to make it impossible. Son Gohan had no inhibition or inability to harness power beyond the Super Saiya, and should not have required any push like that. It contradticted the central facts of the story, and thus does not fit.
Movie 13 makes Goku stronger than Gotenks and Gohan. It too, cannot fit because of that contradiction to the main story.

I think it does, IMO.
Movie 9 doesn't fit because Gohan was capable of going Super Saiyan 2 of his own will, proven when he powered down after Cell "Died" but then powered back up when he came back
Because of Goku's sacrifice, Gohan was in a very unstable emotional state; so, seeing Cell's face again was like a red flag to a bull. This was why Gohan was able to make the transformation. Even Goku shows this on Namek, when he drops out of ssj and gives Freezer another chance. Freezer throws away this chance, which enrages Goku enough to make him transform.
and then later at the 25 Tenka'ichi Budokai, despite being weaker than before.
That was 7 years after Cell. Goku himself said it took him a year to master his ssj transformation on Yadrat; imagine what you can do with 7.

At least you manage to raise some good points - I thank you for that much.
It is stated, at some point, by Bojacks henchies that Earth is "The most beauitful planet in all the cosmo's" and that is why Bojack came for it.
This is contradicting by the fact that the Space Pirate trade run by Freeza and his "clan" don't think Earth anything special. King Cold, when offering Trunks to replace the fallen Freeza, even said..."Planets far more wonderful than Earth will be yours."
I almost hate to bring up such an...abstract point, but it does negate the movie, indeed.

Well, Freezer and his 'clan' probably had so many planets under their control, they didn't bother to notice a backwater planet like Earth. Or, maybe it was because they were on different sides of the galaxy, and they never knew it existed.
King Cold, when offering Trunks to replace the fallen Freeza, even said..."Planets far more wonderful than Earth will be yours."
LoL, Cold was probably talking out of his ass, since he didn't want to end up like Freezer. Hell, after seeing that, I would too.
Abstract point, indeed. If we were to go by every single quote and minor flaw, the whole SERIES would contradict and negate itself! I think you're really reaching on this one, and you should let it go; we've wasted enough space on the page as it is.

I doubt the site bandwidth will suffer from our argument.
There are some other details about the mentionings of the Tournament, relating to the "Strongest under the heavens" and yadda yadda that don't line up...but I don't feel up to it right now. There's some other things about the movie that aren't right, like Character Personality portrayel. But it's not noticable really...to those who are used to Filler.
Maybe I'll bring this back up after I watch the movie...and sleep...

Here's another reason: the Kaios sealed away Bojack+co. Bojack's gang are all stronger than Super Saiyans. More specifically, Super Saiyans that fought in the Cell Games. We're talking beyond strongest in the universe at this point (apart people from the filler tournament and Buu). The Kaios sealed them. The Kaios who are weaker than Nappa. Even if they got the jump on one or two of them, and even if it's all magic that sealed them, I think at least one would have fired off a ki blast or something.

Who says the Kaios were weaker than Nappa?

Maybe they got weaker over time or something. Or maybe North (crap, he is the North one, right?) Kaio is just weak.
Duo, you DO know "the strongest under the heavens" is a general translation of "Tenkaichi Budoukai", right...?

Didn't Supreme Kai say that each Kai was 1000 times stronger than Fireza?

FLCL would like to put it's boot up your ass please.
It already has. Seeing that OVA series 40 times over has overtaken my soul.
My point was, it was completely out-of-place to have Son Gokuu and Slug battling, and all of a sudden, a song about fornication bursts out. It's like... the fuck? The placement of songs that have nothing to do with what's going on is what turns me off from some dubbed anime and most American movies. However, most music for Japanese (and most other) foreign films have all of the songs especially tailored for their production, or choose only songs that reflect the show.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Fornication!? What the hell are you talking about? The song fit because the action was picking back up and the song used had a driving beat to it. Look at these lyrics from the song:
Why, do you like playing around with
My, narrow scope of reality
I, can feel it all start slipping
I think I'm breaking down
Those lyrics fit when Slug was beating down Goku. Goku was getting his ass kicked and he was breaking down. Slug was playing around with Goku. The song actually fits the fight in which it was played.

I've been waiting my whole life for just one fuck
And all I needed was just one fuck
How can you say that you don't give a fuck
I find myself stupefied coming back again
All I wanted was just one fuck
One tiny little innocent fuck
And when I feel like I'm shit out of luck
I find myself stupefied, coming back again
But this is completely irrevelant now... if we continue on this tangent, we'd probably have a closed topic.
EDIT: (Looks around for the dub hater) I was merely pointing out one thing about certain dubs I disliked. If that makes me a dub hater, than I might as well be God as well, since I'm suddenly things I'm not!

The song is about racism. Not fornication. Tangent over.
Thinking about it some more I can add The World's Strongest to the list. A giant brain in a giant robot looking for the strongest fighter? Kind of lame.
