Next DBZ Movie Featuring Vegeta?

Tbh, i don't think Vegeta fit the role to be the protagonist. but i'd like to see that for once or two, it'd be refreshing for someone to take the protagonist role other than Goku or Gohan.

BOG screwed Vegeta over so much that I can't see a movie with him in the spotlight being any good. But if they bring back the good ol' badass Vegeta, go for it.

Aww. See, I hate to say it, but I'm kinda on the opposite end of the fence here. I really don't care too much for 'badass' Vegeta, simply because...he's never as badass as he thinks he is. It's always 'I AM THE STRONGEST THING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN' five seconds before 'OH GOD MY ARM'. Or he just makes things worse somehow before getting shoved aside. But a Vegeta that's at least a tiny bit more calm, which we get from doing post-series stuff anyway, and has a comedic edge that the JSAT and BoG gave us? THAT'S the Vegeta I'm really starting to enjoy. It's just so ludicrous that I find it amazing and awesome.

That said though, I'm still not really sure how I feel about a movie with Vegeta as the star. It'd be nice to get something not focusing on Goku of course, but...eh...are they ever gonna give Pan and Oob their due or not, bleh.

I hope that rumor was true. I would like to see what they plan to do with Movie 6 before they throw Coola into it and made it into a rehash of Mecha Freeza.

With this and the whole 'And More' thing, I'm fairly certain that we'll be seeing a new movie in the not too distant future and Toriyama's just not allowed to confirm or say anything concrete yet. Wouldn't want another 'Dragon Ball Kai Buu Arc' situation now, would we? OR maybe that's just wishful thinking...

In all honesty though, I'd much rather see a movie with Piccolo in the spotlight. I was really hoping that that was gonna be the case in BOG. I guess I just think that it'd be nice to see some new material that focused on something other than the Saiyans...not that I mind more Saiyan back story.

EDIT: Was it just me, or did anyone else mentally draw a connection between this and the Goku's Mother news? Even though nothing has been said that would suggest that these two things are related...

First time I've heard such a rumor, huh. That certainly would have proved interesting. Though with movie 6, I have less of a problem with Goku being in it than I do with Metal Cooler being pretty superfluous when it could have just been the Gete Star being DBZ's answer to Unicron.

What I'd like: Something set shortly after BoG, Vegeta gets SSJ God and is the one to beat the big bad and save the day. At the end Goku and Vegeta are about to have a God-mode rematch.

What we'll get: Kid Vegeta, Freeza, Birus cameo. Gine knew Vegeta and Birus, there are some bizarre connections going on, Gine gets sent back in time and becomes the original SSJ God.

It's very cool to see how excited people are on here even at the possibility of Vegeta being the protagonist in a DBZ movie. I think it says a lot about us (fans on this forum at least, not representative of all fans mind you but still...) that we need something different and original! Any changing up of the standard formula (Goku saves the day, Goku Goku Goku) just seems to evoke some needed excitement and passion. Not that a movie with Goku as the lead can't be phenomenal or great but it's always fantastic to see something new (especially in the DB universe).

Its just a level and doesnt mean anything if we compare some situations.
for example: Goten or Trunks super saiyan cant beat Goku/Vegeta base form.

and if you want to use the training scene between vegeta and trunks where vegeta got punched as reply, dont bother.
Vegeta didnt expect trunks was to be that strong and low his guard,thats all.

I agree. I suppose the only problem it raises is for power level enthusiasts figuring out the logistics of Super Saiyan grades 2 + 3, as well as full power Super Saiyan, but...I don't really care about that particularly.
