Haven't watched the ep, but know a few cast members from that show were on the old dub. Heck, one particular was Penny in "Curse of the Blood Rubies" and little Chi-Chi in the old DB dub from 95 when she was 11.

The things that people immediately associate with Dragon Ball have become so common place, it's hard to see any resemblance beyond the fact that beams were shot.

I saw a couple episodes once. I wasn't impressed with it. It was a typical children's show. I don't particularly care for Adventure Time or Regular Show either, the two series everyone wets their pants over, so this definitely does nothing for me.

I dunno, Regular Show is pretty good. Adventure Time, while I will admit is a good series, I don't particularly care for. MLP just confuses me.

Regular show puts me to sleep literally. Its boring. Still one show doesn't make the entire genre of Cartoons good now a days.

My little pony is for little girls and its not more mature than DBZ.

Both of these series were made for children so neither one is exactly mature, although technically I suppose Dragon Ball Z would be.

I love how Dragon Ball doesn't take itself too serious and how Muten Roshi always finds him in awkward situations (needs to take a dump while in an air plane, or gives Crane Hermit a silent smelly fart).

Then when you think about it both of those voice actors have passed away. Turtle Hermit and Crane Hermit have all the bitchy-bitchy girls as Goku would say, in the Next World.

DB was made for boys 10 and up but my little pony was made for girls 4 and up.

Breaking Bad is great, but I don't want everything to be Breaking Bad. It's a VERY dark show, and most of the time, I don't want to watch that. Much of the time I want to watch Dragon Ball. If I want something a little more intellectually stimulating, I'll watch something like Veronica Mars.

Yes, especially if you're not a pre-pubescent girl. First off, farts are always funny, and fights don't stop being cool even into adulthood. I know we're supposed to be accepting of all cultures, but I find Bronies to be weird.

There are things you can overcome in a public by saying ''looks will deceive you'', but one cannot, because no matter how well-written this show is, the ultra stima remains. Like a communist in the 50's-60's.

If you are watching this, well, just confess to it online, not even to your friends.

At least I get the impression from Gokuden that he's just trying to "tell it like it is," but this just encapsulates what's so screwed up about society, and how judgmental and narrow-minded people still are about things while being completely oblivious to their own surroundings. Again, this is a DRAGON BALL FORUM! It's a series for little boys. So why aren't you telling the adult women here how "creepy" and "weird" they are, let alone the adult men? Well, I guess at least the latter have the potential "excuse" of liking it from their childhoods, so it's okay, right?

If this is a homage it's a pretty weak one. The beams are just surface-level. The actual action choreography, storyboarding, and animation lack the punch that Dragon Ball battle scenes employ. It's like watching two cardboard cutouts of the character models sliding across the screen. There's no sense of motion or personality despite all of the money spent.

Please don't make this a women's rights thing (for lack of a better term). I admitted that regardless of whatever positives it has, I PERSONALLY find it weird.

You can say that it's for little boys, but generally speaking, most American children's programming doesn't include stuff this violent or dirty.
