I believe the movie was 100% uncut. They even shown Baby Goku's and Baby Broli's penis for a small moment like they did in the uncut version of the film.

Did they keep Head Cha-La in the opening?

I didn't watch the broadcast myself, but I've seen people on other forums commenting on how nice it was to hear "HEAD-CHA-LA" on TV.

So it would appear so.

Would this by any chance mark the first time Cha-La-Head-Cha-La is used on national television? If so, this is a momentous occasion.

Would they have actually played Head-Cha-La? Isn't the opening still that guitar track they use on the Orange Bricks or that special track that was made just for Broly?

If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? To men of science like us, perfection is a dead end, a condition of hopelessness. Always strive to be better than anything that came before you but not perfect! No, they aired it with the Japanese score, so that unique OP from the US score wouldn't be present. Unlike the series, most of the Movies kept Cha-La intact. Movies 3-4 and 6-9 to be exact. Also, Special 1. We Gotta Power was also kept in Movies 10-11.

Nope, they actually played Head Cha La. I didn't get to see the entire movie as I had to get up super early for work the next day, but I did have the TV on while I was falling asleep, and caught the very start of the film, including the opening theme. I was kind of surprised too.

DBZ aired in Japanese and Spanish on US TV, both of which used the original music.

But more specifically, if you're asking if this is the first time the dub used it, I think Cartoon Network used Cha-La HEAD Cha-La back when they aired Dead Zone and The Worlds Strongest in 1999. The Tree of Might used Rock the Dragon since there was already TV version of that movie.

Actually, that's not true. All three movies used Rock the Dragon as the opening and ending themes when they aired on Toonami in 1999.

Also, didn't Movie 5 air back in May with Cha La Head Cha La?

No, Movies 1-2, 5, and 12 feature Menza's opening regardless of score.
