The Boss is an immature prick.
This arguement is your guys' fault to begin with when you compared my quest for clips to bootlegging!

In the very first reply you said I was violating terms of service because I was asking for bootlegs!

One more thing:

I am sick of hearing about your sacred cow, Daimaou's translation. Get over yourselves, its not that great a translation.

I'm willing to consider that. Please give me cases with your correct translation though, since it's easy to make accusations without evidence.

How the hell would you know? You yourself said you haven't bought one FUNi DVD. And I seriously doubt those "Fansubs" you DLed are using Daimao's work, considering his work on episodes 28-67 haven't even been released yet. In fact, since you don't own any FUNi DVDs, you have no way of knowing for sure these "Fansubs" are Daimao's work. So shut the fuck up with the insulting.

We're in no way kissing up to Daimao or Vegetto EX, Steven J. Simmons really is that fucking good and if you'd give yourself one g**damned chance with say these new affordable season sets (only $20 on CD-Universe pre-order), then you'd see that for yourself you retarded douche. Daimao's translation is the best you'll find anywhere, even Corey (the big Dragonbox purist) has to agree with me on that. How about you, Aaron whatever, get over yourself and just shut up.

I'd post more, but I believe countless others before me have said how I feel.

I'm inclined to agree. Steve is a fan of the series, and his translations are a labor of love to be certain. Anyone who has been around for awhile knows just how long he's contributed to the community, even before FUNi hired him as a translator and throwing accusations without evidence at him is pretty cheap.

My opinion? Sure, there may be flaws in his translations. More than likely, you're intepreting something differently than him. Still, I'm open to discussion so just give your examples and I'll see what I think.

Wah, wah wah. You remind me of the namesake of a GT character:

And if you knew one word of Japanese and owned any DVD with Simmons' work on it, you'd realize that they are the most accurate DBZ translations available, and possibly amongst the most accurate anime subtitles available, period.
The Boss is an immature prick.
And you're not?

It's not perfect (what translation is?), but it is painstakingly accurate, and the only specific complaint you've given about it is still total nonsense...

Anybody notice how he's replying to all the simpler comments, but to none of the longer replies any of us have made here? It sounds like he's dodging any serious arguments we're making and just attacking the sillier ones...

Geez, Aaron, if you really have a point to make, try to address all of us who're putting forth a more thought-through argument as well. :/
Art, etc. links taken down for now. Will be updated at some point. I dunno.

Funny because I was just thinking that. I think were intimidating him with them. * goes off to write extremely long post full of counterpoints*

Edit: Here goes nothing. Please Aarondirebear if you could kindly reply to this instead of going for the little posts.

Well first off, grow up. Your being completely immature and unreasonable. Why should we after we worked and paid for our footage and DVDs, should we just hand them over to someone who refuses to pay for them. Listen, I've been trying to get Trunks Saga disks for a while for an AMV, but I don't have the money right now so I'm just waiting. I've been tempted to ask for them but I know it isn't right and Funimation has legal rights on those disks and not paying for them is called stealing.

Secondly, You can't have every word right in a dub. I still don't understand exactly why you hate funimation because most of your posts have been: Funimation sucks and I won't listen to its good points because I've decided to become a prick and be an immature baby about this situation. Steve Simmons is one of the best dubs out there, its a Fact not just an opinion, it is widely accepted and for the most part everyone agrees that it is well translated.

Thirdly, I thought your idea was pretty funny at first but then suddenly you became an ignorant jerk. Dude, this is America. We pay for what we want, we don't just go around asking for it. As said before thats not how capitalism works.

Finnally, you were the one that really started this argument because you wouldn't listen to anything but your own thoughts. Ya know what? I don't care if you are a broke college student. WORK for your money to buy it. I don't care if you WANT it now, you CAN'T have it now. Just be patient and money will come if you work for it. I'm a high school student, just about the right age for a job, but I'm too busy to get one. But I still find legal ways to get my money like allowance and some other small jobs. I suggest you try it if your short on cash.

Look in the mirror and tell me what you see, a man begging for free DVDs so he can make some movie for the internet. Now do you think the meaning of life is something along those lines. I'm touching a bit close to home here but work with it. I believe from your intro post you are a Christian? my apologies if I'm wrong Now do you think that your beliefs tell you that this is the way to live your life? Tell me what you see in that mirror when your done.

Aarondirebear, please reply to this post with some sort of counter point or else I wil have relized that you just aren't big enough to make your point clear when it comes to big posts.

Here's a thought, man, get a Netflix account. With the basic 3-at-a-time-plan (which was less than $20 when I tried it), you can have every DVD you need, delivered TO YOUR DOOR, and have all the footage in less than a month.

That might work, but then again, it might not. You also have to consider the condition the discs are in when you get them. (My dad got some from NetFlix that were scratched up really, really badly. @_@; )

It's not a bad idea, though. If you manage to find some DBZ dub discs in a good state via that, then you'll be set. So there's really no reason to complain about the discs being expensive to get.
