Since Jappo's file is in FLV format, I'm converting it to AVI, so others can play it and hopefully the size will be smaller. Should have the link up sometime tonight. (I beleive this is ok with the rules of the forum.)

Windows Media player will not play .flv files. Download Media Player Classic or VLC.JulieYBM wrote:JAPPO's download is only playing the audio for me on Windows Media Player. Any idea how to get the picture working?

I'd suggest getting CCCP or VLC instead. CCCP is a huge codec pack that'll let you watch practically anything and comes with good default players like Zoom player and Media Player Classic. VLC is just a player, which isn't quite as good IMO, but still plays practically anything.JulieYBM wrote:JAPPO's download is only playing the audio for me on Windows Media Player. MPC handles soft-subs better than VLC, but when MPC screws up and can't play a video, VLC plays it fine. I always have both installed on my computer and use them for different things.Bussani wrote:Yes it does, hence either is a good choice. I think Zoom and Media Player Classic handle .mkvs better though (although the latest VLC has improved a little), and VLC always had trouble fast forwarding or rewinding .flv videos for me.Yi Xing Long wrote:VLC has built-in codecs.
I have both installed too, but I haven't had to use VLC for anything other than DVDs for ages. I usually just stick with Zoom Player. With CCCP installed, I haven't found anything it can't play.Yi Xing Long wrote:MPC handles soft-subs better than VLC, but when MPC screws up and can't play a video, VLC plays it fine. Yeah MPC doesn't display DVD menus properly. It shows the menu and all, but you cannot click on anything, so in order to play the video you have to manually go to the title/chapter. I believe MPC also displays DVDs in 720x480 whereas VLC displays it properly in 640x480.Bussani wrote:I have both installed too, but I haven't had to use VLC for anything other than DVDs for ages. For anyone that's interested and still having problems streaming the new special with Jump's browser, I've posted another stream over on Kanzentai. Please do not ask me for a copy, I'm just trying to help those that are having problems. Enjoy!
