Stupid YouTube. If they're going to block out the sound, they might as well block out the whole video.
It was just some random songs playing.
They still have the verison with sound on their website(still with songs though, not with the actual sound from the game).
Oh okay, cool.

I didn't even noticed that Trunks is labeled "Time Portal." So... He's part of this team:

I'm way out of touch with this game. One day it's this, another day it's this and that. Throw in time travel and magic gems you're just asking for trouble. But expecting simplicity from any RPG would be rather silly.

I'm going to regret asking this but can someone briefly state what plot or main goal of DBO? I'm just a little lost at the moment.

From Amaranth Sparrow's post:
The Pale Man's name is Miira, and the current main goal for players is to uncover and prevent his evil plans. Miira is a humanoid that was created in the Dark Demon Realm (Ankoku Makai), and invaded Earth in Age 2000 to try and conquer it. He recruits the remnants of the Freeza and Red Pants Armies and begins gathering life energy, then travels back in time with a time machine to try and obtain Goku's DNA to become even stronger. Kami-sama (Dende) asks Trunks to prevent this, leading to the formation of the Time Patrol.
So as of right now you are just supposed to stop him I guess. At least that is all I know.

:?

And then they'll release an expansion, and make someone even crazier to fight, and there will be more shit to keep you throwing your money at them.

Sigh... I love the idea of this game, but I just can't process playing an mmo anymore. I played too much of WoW to be sucked into it or anything again. It's such a waste... But then, dammit! I want to play DBO. :x Argh!

You've got a point there, but Dragon Ball Online is a bit higher on the crazy meter than Dragon Ball Z.

I wish they would adapt this to a console game and JUST myself go back in time and join in on all the epis battles and such. I'd love to see all the scenes in the game of actual DBZ characters doing things but I'm not really an online gamer.

I'm not one for online games either, but I figure I'll at least give this a try.

So...any chance of being able to import this, even though I live in America and probably wouldn't be able to play on their servers...or at all?

If you wanted to play at the moment, you'd need a friend at Korea that can give you their KSSN and then you have to proxy your way through I think, something like that. But it's all illegal. Not the best idea.
Actions have reactions so don't be quick to judge, you may not know the hardships that people don't speak of.

Sounds like too much work for this lazy American anyway. I just sit tight and hope for an US release but I'm not holding my breath.

"Bcakthen" is such an apporiate name for your avatar, since this game has to do a lot with time travel (or not, who knows).

Have anyone already made plans for their DBO avatar? I might pick a male character and dress him up in pink from head to toe. His name shall be "Sir Princess Saiyan" a decedent of Vegeta. I'll spend weeks grinding away until he's ridiculously strong.

I think I'm going for Namek, and it's probably going to be the Daimao style Namek, you know, with the demon spitting and all that. I don't know about attire because I don't know the choices I'll have.

I'd like to try them all out. My first will either be a Human martial artist or a Namekian Dragon Clan member.
I wonder if they will make other races playable or have other classes if they were to release an expansion.

Can anyone provide me with some backstory with what Julian was saying on the podcast a couple weeks ago? He said Kame Sen'nin used a book to teach Goku to read. I was just recently watching an episode of DragonBall, and all I saw was Goku with a pen and some paper.

I think I'd pick a human character. I don't know which school yet though.

<< Chapter 31 >>
I think that is what you are referring to.

That. May be. The BEST. Story to ever teach a kid to read with. :D
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
