Parody!Kaio and the announcer look hysterical, but that parody!Piccolo is the stuff of nightmares. Looks like someone's wearing Piccolo's skin. Similar with Freeza, but at least he doesn't have eyeholes.

I laughed a lot when I saw it this morning . Toriyama getting the idea for the plot because of them already was funny, but this picture with Toribot is perfect!

They translated it as Simian Bastard in Kai, so I doubt Funimation will shy away from it.

I think I'm another that the vocals (at least most of them - I do really love the 'FREEZA, FREEZA, FREEZA' bits) of the song cause the biggest disconnect for me trying to hear the song playing in Dragon Ball, because that off-vocal version is a little easier for me to work with. Still not a perfect match, but it's getting there.

It's pretty much an anime thing though, isn't it? I'm strongly tempted to say he never says it in the manga, but since I don't want to bother going through the entire Namek arc, I'll settle for saying it's used substantially less (a quick skim of the Super Saiyan Goku/Freeza fight doesn't turn up any results, at any rate). I'm not trying to be a snotty manga fan, it's just that when a thread about this saru yarou catchphrase popped up a few months back, it threw me for a loop because my immediate reaction was "when does Freeza ever say that?" It just goes to show...I don't know, something about something. Different versions being different, I guess.

He never uses it once in the Viz release. Can't speak towards the original.

Gurd('s decapitated head) does call Vegeta a "sleazy monkey-bastard Saiyan" (低俗なサル野郎のサイヤ人) shortly before getting blown up, but I can't find any instance of Freeza saying something similar. Not to say any of this means Freeza won't use the phrase in the new movie, of course.

I read through most of his fight with Goku and couldn't find it, so it's probably safe to say that he never says it.
The line I was thinking of was from chapter 319, where he uses なんか to refer to "that Saiyan".
Funnily enough, the line was changed in both Z and Kai to add the monkey insult.

I may well be wrong but isn't he just penning the outline of the plot rather than specifically writing the script?He did the same for Battle of Gods, too. I'm wrong. Nevermind.

I mean, we did get a much more Toriyama-esque Goku in BoG so who knows!
