The only DB game from the 90's that was released in the US was Final Bout and DBZ just started around that time. It was around 1999-2003 when DBZ was still a big show. I don't think the time period is going to matter since fans will buy the game as long if it's good. Really nothing has changed since 2007. It's 2012 and it does not feel like a new decade at all.

As of now there still isn't information regarding the option of audio tracks, but one can hope it has Japanese and English. Episode of Bardock is in Japanese with English subs, however.

It's official, this is the worst DBZ game.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

Let's not be insane here. The fact that they're giving you what amounts to free content shouldn't make this the worst DBZ game ever. If you're complaining that it's either (a) subbed and not dubbed and/or (b) not a particular movie/special/production that you personally enjoy, you can sit over on the sidelines and let everyone else have some fun.

If the game itself is actually a terrible game, then maybe you can start with the hyperbole.

I rather watch it in Japanese with English subs than in English or the new Mexican dub.

I'll check today if they have it for rent. xD

A person who has played Dragon Ball Z For Kinect (PAL release) previously said the game was awesome and I replied him with some questions (1 - Jpn + Eng? / 2 - Does Kinect react to the game properly? / 3 - Is it broken like everyone's saying?):
(1) its in english not sure about jap, (2 & 3) kinects works perfectly, abit hard to do the kamehameha whoever you spell it.. besides that the game is damn awesome!
I admit that seeing those videos where it showed characters just standing there while getting beaten up weren't pleasent to watch, this however, brought some hope up that it might an actual good or great game.

Anyway, soulnova, I'll ask him if he could check that it has Japanese audio track also.

The Goku (Image 1 -- Full Clothed) is from Ultimate Tenkaichi, not DBZ For Kinect.

It's also been edited. He's been re-colored in photoshop, that style has never been featured in any game. If it was, I would have taken notice.

Thank you so much!

Either way I'm planning on renting it and make my own small review. I heard its going to get released here in Mexico tomorrow or friday... you never really know here. I was never really into fighting games but last time Ultimate Tenkaichi caught my attention and played it a little. I loved the visuals, but the combat system was a little to confusing for a casual (fighting) gamer like me. I couldn't defeat some of the enemies even at the lowest difficulty so it was bummer in a way. Besides, I need to do more exercise! xD

GameSpot has reviewed Dragon Ball Z For Kinect and guess what's their rating... 4.5/10.

All it leaves is IGN. Namco Bandai doesn't bribe them like Activision does to rate MW3 9/10, so it'll probably be around the same values (4.0/10) or so.

This for example:
The Bad:
- Highly repetitive battles
- Poor story mode gives you no real incentive to keep playing
Spike's DBZ games have always had a poor story mode which were more about fighting than the actual story. Budokai Tenkaichi 3 the game acclaimed to be the "best DBZ game ever" suffers from this disadvantage and also repetitive battles.

Oh c'mon. No legitimate game outlet is accepting bribes for scores. Comparing reviews of a massive game like Call of Duty to Dragon Ball is beyond preposterous.

Furthermore, different reviewers within different outlets review different games. There is no single editorial voice of what "GameSpot" or "IGN" is -- there are the collective voices of the individual reviewers. On GameSpot alone, Mark Walton reviewed Dragon Ball Z for Kinect, while I don't even see a review there for Budokai Tenkaichi 3, so there's nothing to directly compare to EVEN IF the same person happened to review both.

A lot of people are definitely unleashing their inner powers...but not in the way Namco Bandai Games (North America) thinks.

This was exactly what I expected the game to be:
Dragon Ball Z for Kinect's erratic motion controls
Charging your ki energy bar launches special moves, such as Goku's Kamehameha or Krillin's Destructo Disk. The stance to do so varies between characters, but a handy icon to the right of the screen lets you know how to stand, which often involves holding your hands by your side or above you. Frustratingly, getting the game to recognise the stance is completely hit-and-miss. Sometimes it works just fine, while other times it requires all manner of weird bodily contortions to be performed.

Dragon Ball Z For Kinect and Resident Evil 6 both games reviewed by GameSpot received the same rating, 4.5/10 wow, this was totally unexpected to such low rating of an RE game and it's exactly the same as of DBZFK.

GameSpot: Dragon Ball Z For Kinect - 4.5/10
GameSpot: Resident Evil 6 - 4.5/10

Unintentionally, I find this quite funny.

I predict that the price of this game won't be too high for too long, considering other broken games such as, Duke Nukem, Mindjack, Brink, Quantum Theory and Bodycount dropped its price quickly. This and, if there's little to no profit coming out of this game Namco Bandai (or whoever's in charge) will stop the production, which means, it could turn out to be a limited time only game.

By the way, Xbox Kinect cases are purple colour which really doesn't go well with the regular Xbox 360 cases (green), guess I'd have to split them up.

My boyfriend made a complete review of RE6 in Spanish and he gave it 7/10. He told me it was frustrating at times but the overall result was a "somewhat decent game with lots of content". This is why I want to try the Kinect version myself. As soon as I have it, I'll tell you my verdict. 9_9

4.5/10 for this game is not surprising. I was surprise by the rating for RE6 since I think it's awesome so far. Everyone has their own opinion since I thought the new AVP game from 2010 was great when most people feel mixed about it.
