Nope. I don't actually own a Laser Disc player. I bought it mostly for the novelty of owning it.
It would look really nice hanging on a wall.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

I got my husband the Banpresto Dragonball DX Super Saiyan Trunks figure, clear hair edition (it was all they had). He loves it.

I got the Banpresto Dragonball DX 6 inch set of Goku (Shu outfit), Pilaf, and Oolong for Christmas.
I wipe it off the tile, the light is brighter this time, everything is 3D blasphemy.
My eyes are red and gold, the hair is standing straight up, this is not the way I picture me.
I can't control my shakes, how the hell did I get here? Something about this, so very wrong.
I have to laugh out loud, I wish I didn't like this. Is it a dream or a memory?

This is the entire menu. Now it looks terrible. But what I like about this is that it has the option to have subtitles so I can understand it, or no subtitles so I can get a clean image if I ever need to take a screenshot of it or something. That's cute. Chinese and Malay have nothing to do with me, but this was a "Maylay" DVD, which, thank God, wasn't dubbed. The audio is original Japanese.

Bootleg perhaps? Or has Toei suddenly decided to use non-comissioned artwork (which in all honesty, wouldn't be illegal)? The first option seems most likely.
His chest looks off anyway.

Not "perhaps", it must be a bootleg. Even if Toei were to use a fanart, they wouldn't have stretched it so horribly.

And the art from the cover isn't even the original image, is a vector from BoScha196:

My post-Christmas order came in at last (everything but my girlfriend's late Christmas gift anyway, sadly, gah. :( ), so I got those Dragon Ball figures I'd posted about before, they're awesome.

I'd post the pictures of them, but the only camera I have is my laptop's built in one, which is crap, especially for figures this small...so these from the box will have to do.

Image

The '#18 Headlocks Mr. Satan' figure is bronze colored, rather than the regular coloring.

Image

Same thing with my 'Gohan Backhands Super Buu' figure, it's bronze too. I get that those are supposed to be the more collectible ones or something, but honestly? I'd prefer if all of the figures were just the right colorings. It's easier to see the details on them that way. Overall though, I'm pretty pleased with these things. They're small so they won't take up much of my shelf space, and they were easy enough to snap together. Never having bought these kinds of figures before though, it was a very small learning curve though - I've never seen a US toy with connections like these things have. Some of them don't seem to hold together quiiiittteee as well as I'd like either, so I definitely have to make sure none of my younger relatives get hold of these. They'd be destroyed.

Ah, and then there's the cases they came in, which I did manage to take a halfway decent picture of my own. Cuz I'm keeping these babies.

Image

Now just to figure out what to wish for when I summon Shen Long. World peace? Bah, too cliche. Panties? Been done. ...I think I'll go with a pichi pichi gal.

Yes it's a bootleg. Episode of Bardock has only one DVD release and that's not it.

I honestly didn't know this figure was solid when I bought it off Amazon. I honestly believed it was a hollow PVC until I got it and opened the box to start putting it together. I was thinking you could smash someone over the head with it and leave them bloodied on the floor quite easily.

Image

This Trunks one actually isn't mine. It's one I bought for my husband as a Christmas gift.

I concur, that Goku figure is AWESOME. Way more accurate on the face than I'm used to figures looking.
