Alright!

I have my first impressions! I completed the Saiyan saga!

I changed the setting to Easy in the first place because I suck at fighting games anyway. Also I immediately changed the audio to Japanese.

The controls are a little complicated, but they do work. The basic commands, punches, kicks, guard and counters. Dodge moves are good too.

I did have a little trouble charging, but I realized that by simply crouching a little and shaking my two hands to the side, the game would recognize it as a Kamehameha charge pose. Kaioken super power needs a little practice but I managed to get it done before any bad damage was made.

The most fun I had so far was with the stage of Vegeta Ozaru. xD

Although... I don't know if this happened to any of you but I had trouble with the menus. It seemed like the sensor would lost track of my hand every time I was "sliding" my option. Strange.

And well, I just love the visuals, it was one of the things why I tried Ultimate Blast. So far it has been an average game with its fun parts. :)

I haven't finished the game yet.

For the lack of gameplay modes (-1), glitchy menus (at least for me, maybe my Sensor has a malfunction) (-1), lack of multiplayer (-1), basic story mode fights (-1).

So far I would give it 6/10; it was worth to rent it. I doubt I'll buy it because I like my games with more meat. Maybe I would have bought it if it had the Hero Mode... + a female.

I am having a fun time and I felt willing to finish the whole Saiyan saga in one go which is more than I can say for other fighting games.

Please take note that I'm playing in Easy. I haven't tried the other modes yet but here I do have time to let the sensor recognize my charging pose while taking some hits and pull my super attacks just fine. And yes, maybe I look silly, but you look silly with all the Kinect games anyway. Unless you are going to play on a public area, I don't see what the problem is.

One Piece for PS3 looks really tedious not sure I'll bother buying the game at all.

Btw, does AngryJoe act like a jackass? For that there's already AVGN.
1) Actually, I did. And I saw it being re-placed on shelves a few times as well, so others did as well. (And some forum members from other countries did too.)
2) Worten, and I'm pretty sure Fnac had very few and sold out.

I'll also have you know that someone beat me to the 150€ Headgear Edition of the Saint Seiya PS3 game that was at Fnac :P (it was a gloriously huge box, too). The One Piece game seems more fun than the average Musou clone, actually.

Angry Joe is kinda what AVGN is for the old games, but not as extreme. Besides, (sadly) AVGN doesn't do modern game reviews lol

That's because his show is based on nostalgia. I'm surprise Joe hasn't review any DBZ games since he said that he likes the show. Also XGN is the only site so far that give this game a decent rating which is a 6/10.

I think my Gamestop already has a used copy of this game already when I stop by there today. At least someone bought this game  .

That XGN review seems pretty worth a read, despite not being in English.
+ It works
+ A Kamehameha run feels super
+ Audiovisual in order

- Rapid movements are sometimes missed
- Little content present
- No alternation
Just reading this gave me an idea of how the game works. I'll read it later.

Ugh, still no review by IGN. IGN's review of Forza Horizon was marvellous!

It's too bad that they didn't dub the Bardock special. I wonder when we will get the sales charts for this game? I'm pretty sure more people bought DBZ for Kinect than Oogieloves did in theaters :P !

Telling by the majority, it leaves you boiling hot red with anger and rushing to the game store for a refund.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

The only game that didn't make me sweat much was Kinect Sports, however, Ninja Fruit Kinect made me exercise and sweat a lot. Fun game, the player needs to be fast and flexible, though.

Update

Review from an Amazon user:
When the game was first announced i was worried that it would be like ultimate tenkaichi (UT) or the kinect sensor would not pick up. Well i am happy to say that the game is fantastic, however if you did not like UT then you should stay away.

When i first put the game in I found it used UT soundtrack, but i love that music, so it does not effect me. Still it has been a year since the last dbz game so a new soundtrack would have been nice. All in all this game is just like UT only you use your body. The animations are the same and so is the voice acting. A lot of stuff was recycled from UT, I can not stress that enough. The Story is the same from UT and the voices too.

One the positive side, Punching, kicking, and ki blasts work great. I have not had one problem with the kinect sensor or using super attacks. Its really fun to do a kamehamha or special beam cannon. WIth over 50 characters there is good amount of re play value.

The special movie is the story of bardock after he was killed by freeza, dubbed for the first time in english. Its about 20 min long. The true fans of dbz have already seen the movie in japanese, but its nice funiation is coming together to voice dbz one last time (they can't do it forever). Its a nice addition.

Overall I highly recommend this game , even its UT with your body as the controller. Fighting game fans might not like it, but bandia games made a great game for dbz fan and I'm glade they still care unlike toei animation. Weather you played UT or not, loved it or hate it, or like kinect games. Dbz for kinect is a great way to jump back into the dbz universe. JUST KNOW THAT THIS IS UT WITH YOU AS THE CONTROLLER, BUT THIS IS NOT A BAD THING, ITS AN IMPROVEMENT!

Both reviews are pretty damn good, I'll definitely have to try this game out myself than read negative after negative reviews.

VegettoEX already confirmed in a thread that dbboxkaifan created that it is indeed sub-only.
EDIT: There's a site update that says that too, isn't there?
Causing confusion around that is the last thing that anyone needs lol

This could be in HD like PtEtSS on RB2 for Xbox 360 also was.

These screens were from Dragon Ball - Games.

They're in JPEG so obviously compressed, whereas if they were in PNG it would be lossless and looked a lot better, I assume.

Since it's basically UT does that that mean it also contains the reanimated cutscenes?
Jord doesn't have a avatar because the combination of Jord and a equally cool avatar would cause the universe to implode.

No. It is in-game engine cutscenes only.

It made me sweat alright. My arms are a little sore, but not much. I actually expected them to hurt a lot the next day.

I'll give it another go today when I get home. Gotta finish the Frieza Saga. ;)

Pro-tip. You need plenty of space for the sensor to recognize you alright. True for most Kinect games, but specially for this one...

Again, it is a good rental. Give it a try like that first.
