You know, come to think of it, has Goku ever won a fight in SSJ3 without outside help?

Vs. Fat Buu: Inconclusive

Vs. Super Buu: Lost

Vs. Kid Buu: Needed Vegeta, Mr. Satan, Good Buu, Porunga, and the Genki Dama to help

Vs. Beerus: Lost

If we include non-canon stuff:

Vs. Janemba: Lost

Vs. Baby Vegeta: Lost

The only time I can think of that he clearly won was against Hirudegarn, but most fans agree that that shouldn't have happened

In fact, if you add Gotenks, he lost to Super Buu and Hirudegarn... SSJ3 in general doesn't have a very good track record.

SSJ3 is the most impractical transformation ever. Goku himself even states that such a transformation shouldn't even be used in the mortal world because of it's uncontrollable and unstable power. The only saving grace of SSJ3 is that it looks kinda cool.

Super Saiyan Grade 3 is the worst, at least SS3 can be used in fighting. SSG3 is only good for... a big Kamehameha I guess? And even in that, it becomes completely useless when SS2 is achieved.

Super Saiyan Grade 2 is probably worse as well. SS3 can last for 5 minutes without making the user get tired (it is after those 5 minutes that shit starts to happen), but SSG2 shouldn't be, if it is comparable to Freeza's Full Power Form, which made him get tired after less than 5 minutes.
