To be picky, Dai Kaio=Grand Kai. They're both names for the guy in charge of the four regular Kaios. The guy in charge of the four Kaioshins/Supreme Kais is Dai Kaioshin/Grand Supreme Kai.

Took a look at the next 10 BOG news articles that followed the January VJump issue of that year, see if I can't get a guess/handle on figuring out what will happen next and when:

Jan 2013
21st:
-VJump issue released
-KFC Promo #1
-Character page is updated on BOG's site; mentions Cast/Staff already been there

24th
-Miracle Battle Carddass gets BOG promo

28th
-Promo recording event with Nozawa, and guests Nakagawa and Matsumoto

29th
-Mezamashi TV promo with guest Karube featuring incomplete animation from BOG

31st
-More KFC promos
-IMAX announcement

Feb 2013
1st
-Track listing for FLOW's BOG-related single
-Toriyama attends first screening of BOG in Tokyo, Watanabe mentions however they're not finished working on BOG yet

5th
-More IMAX announcements

Thoughts:
We haven't heard a peep about any guest voices this time around (or who'll be voicing the two new characters). Also I want F's "Character" page to get updated so badly. T_T Same goes for the Cast/Staff page.
On hiatus.

@Freeza winning in the end issue

I'm still stuck with the idea that Freeza will be about to win, but Whis will find a way to postpone the fight, leading to a fight with no acutal winners. One of the taglines tells us that it will be a battle surpassing Gods, so we can can understand from that: it will be a trouble that not even Gods can handle, so if they want to save the day, they must postpone the war. So all these will lead into a new story right after this movie in a further one.(I guess)
English is not my first language!
I'm still waiting for Dragon Ball in Super...

I remember reading Toriyama saying the Frieza problem isn't the only thing that will be going on so what's you're thoughts on this ?

Wasn't it that he wasn't *just* revived, and that there is more to it that that? Probably just meaning that he gets stronger so that he isn't curb stomped.

I think that's what it was or something along that line but when he said there was more to it then that did he mean Frieza or the movie itself ?

My bad - that's what I get for trying to work with the dub terms from memory (since that's what the initial post I was replying to used). For whatever reasons, FUNi had Dai Kaio from the filler 'afterlife tournament' arc referred to as Grand Kai, but the big guy that Boo absorbed that we see in a flashback towards the end of the series is just...Dai Kaio. With no explanation as to what the heck that even is as a name.

Or... "Hey everyone, they're ghost warriors!"

Credits roll.

Sorry, that was just the first thing that came to my mind.

There hasn't been a tagline like that.

Wait, really? That's super weird. I could have sworn they went with "Grand Supreme Kai". That would fit their previously established name scheme, anyway. With them using "Supreme Kai" for Kaioshin, and Dai=big/great/grand/etc, so Dai Kaioshin would be "Grand Supreme Kai". But Dai Kaio is the name of a completely different character...OK, a fairly similar character with the same sort of role, but at a lower rung on the cosmic hierarchy. A bit like if instead of "Super Saiyan 3" they decided to just call that form "Saiya-jin".

Yeah, I thought the Dai-Kaio thing was odd when I heard it. I was expecting Grand Supreme Kai, but nope.

Hell is in the manga, but it's only mentioned in passing and never shown, and Goku says evil guys like Cell (and so presumably Freeza) don't get to keep their bodies after they die. So the anime version of Hell where all the past bad guys hang out together and cause trouble doesn't really fit with that. But it also wouldn't be too shocking for this new movie to likewise contradict the manga on that score, even (or especially) if Toriyama is writing it.

Enma Daio overpowers Raditz, so it might be more complicated than that.

Could this movie actually be a war between universes and if it's been implied where is the source?

As far as I know the only big announcement they made about the movie was Frieza's return.

He says that no one can defeat him which is immediately proven incorrect by Kami who says that Kaio is stronger than him (which means that Kaio would defeat him) and Enma actually gets kind of mad at Kami for proving him incorrect, threatening to send him to Hell when he dies.

So, in context, the truth is that, even if they struggle, they can't resist Enma because they have no bodies and Enma has the power to judge them. That's all.

See that's where I'm confused...

When Vegeta is about to die vs Buu Piccolo tells him he won't see Goku in the after life and that his soul will simply be cleaned and born again into someone else and all of his memories will be gone.

Read Toei assigned Shida on this March's Precure All Stars movie instead. Feeling sad about this even though I like Precure. It's not even a series movie either, it's just another All Stars (seventh one? Eighth?) where there's so many characters it's impossible to fairly allot screentime. :(

Why are you doing this, Toei? That movie is going to be mainly cgi this time anyway.

I can forgive if it was Shida's choice to work on All Stars instead of F, but if it's Toei who chose, I'm disappointed.

Yeah, in the anime dub, he's referred to as the Grand Supreme Kai, but in one scene, he's referred as Dai Kaio. Mistake in their part. They probably thought that was his name.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
