Because Kai doesn't have Dragon Boxes. Those are all the Dragon Boxes plus the manga. And, just goes to show that Toei hasn't "forgotten/ignored/thrashed GT" like everyone likes to believe.

I feel sorry for Vegeta. He is currently the weakest Saiyan. Goku is gonna get Super Saiyan God, Gohan is the Mightiest Warrior, and Goten & Trunks have Fusion + Super Saiyan 3. And he is still a Super Saiyan 2...

Nah, Goten is the weakest Saiyan. Gotrunks is a fusion and in that case Vegetto/Gogeta > Gotrunks anyway.

Goten & Trunks use Fusion regularly, while Vegetto/Gogeta is a one-time show.

I have to admit, while I did think that the new form was going to be leaked by accident by somebody before the 12th, I didn't think it'd be this early, or that it'd be a TV station.

I'll be really disappointed if that's the Super Saiyan God. It's just the Pseudo-Super Saiyan we saw in Movie 4, but with red eyes & normal hair... I mean, what the fuck is that shit?!

On the possibility of that being what SS God looks like...hmm. I dunno, I like it, and it's certainly not anything like what we'd have expected - but I can definitely see how it may be a bit disappointing from a marketing perspective too. I mean, there was that one toy line that had the blacked out box for the Super Saiyan God toy. And this is probably what the final figure of that original set of toys we saw ages ago is...and it's just going to be Goku with reddish tint to his hair while having the SS aura?

That toy could be Bilus's or Uisu's final form, rather than SSJ God Goku.

It could be, but we haven't had any indication at all that either of those two will transform though, so my theory was on it being SS God Goku.

I guess this is how Super Saiyan God looks because you can see Goku's hair being red while transforming to SSJG in the latest trailer.

If that's Super Saiyan God...

I want Super Saiyan God to just be Goku with no pupils and an awesome blue, godly-like aura. Maybe have his hair stick up, but keep it black.

If that's Super Saiyan God, then it's pretty good.
Essentially interpreting the Goku we've always known, but just being a God, meaning with some twist to the hair and aura to convey more a feeling of "natural magic all over him".

But it could also be a drawing by some staff member, a representation of Goku about to become Super Saiyan, or even just base Goku charging his aura, with the twists being the result of the designer's own take/style on it.
It really looks drawn on the paper itself, with pencils and color pencils, when Toriyama usually colors with painting and Shueisha/Toei with digital means.

FInally, the last possibility is a mislead. It wouldn't be the first time they show us something that actually won't appear in the movie, but make people talk.
After having battled so hard to keep it from pictures, trailers, magazines and toy companies, would they really let some random TV show spoil the surprise?

Anyway, if it's Super Saiyan God, then cool (I like it and find it quite stylish by being minimalist and really keeping the overall shape of who Goku really is to make him a God), but if it's not, I wouldn't be surprised either. After all, what about the shiny blue aura we all saw? Or maybe it just appears for the transformation process itself? Or maybe this was just an early sketch of Super Saiyan God before the final version was made?

There are still many possibilities left, and little we know.

Now that I've had some time to think about it; it does look a lot to me like a mixture between kaio-ken and the first ssj form (I guess kaio-ken could be considered a godly-type thing since it was developed by one?) ; a blend of red and yellow highlights, his hair's wavier but not standing straight up like ssj would be....it'd be quite something if Toei--so intent on keeping this form under wraps--actually thought no one would take a picture of it if they put the drawing on their office door. It makes me wonder if NHK will hear anything from Toei for this if that does turn out to be ssjg form.

If this is it though...I have a weird mix of feelings about it. Kaio-ken is my favorite Goku transformation (would that make this one kind of like a "kami-ken"?), and I'm thrilled he's got his eyebrows here because ssj3's lack of brows was something I did not like at all; but at the same time the way the advertisement was pumping it up I expected something more I guess.

I agree. If that is the final design, it is unimaginative and boring. It doesn't even stand out at all . The gold SSJ4 would have been better even if that is also unimaginative as well. If this is the final design then bravo for crapping on a unique idea (even if it did sound stupid) and showing us that creative thinking went out the window.

I for some reason like the idea of SSJ styled jet black hair and eyes with no pupils having an intense blue aura. Goku's standard hair style just doesn't work for me... Seriously, FSSJ looks cooler than that supposed God form design.
