Oh, not to mention that, by the time Bilus has thrown that giant Death Ball thing, Goku is actually in his SSJ form. If you watch the trailer again you'll see the scene of him repelling it best he could.

That's enough, people. Unless Super Saiyan God Goku is shown in a full frontal, we are going to take the sketch image as grain of salt.

We do see something that fits with the sketch, you can't argue about it.NeoKING wrote:Lol, you didn't see much of anything. But, I guess if you think you saw it then I believe that you believe it.
Same goes for you too.NeoKING wrote:Just don't be thrown for a loop if it turns out to be something else.
Is it the same scene though? Because we first see the SS Goku part, and then we see the supposed SS God part.NeoKING wrote:Oh, not to mention that, by the time Bilus has thrown that giant Death Ball thing, Goku is actually in his SSJ form. Lol, Not really, I don't mind if this is the SSG or if it's something else. I'm just not accepting it for certain. I have no expectations for this movie, so nothing's really gonna surprise me in a "negative way", so to speak.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:NeoKING wrote:Same goes for you too.NeoKING wrote:Just don't be thrown for a loop if it turns out to be something else.

I really don't mind Super Saiyan God looking like Giji Super Saiyan from Movie 4. I always wanted Giji Super Saiyan to be used in future because I think the form looks cool on Son Goku.

That has to do with the functional brains of the fans, not with the movie itself. If it turns out you, or whoever else saw something, congrats. At that time, you should let everyone know that you knew how SSG was going to look, and then post your clues so people know "Wow, this guy so called it!" Maybe, you'll end up with some net fame that could earn you some serious street cred from Dragon Ball fans all around the world, and if you're really lucky, a cookie.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:You insist with all your might that we didn't see anything in the trailer. Regardless, I'll still enjoy the movie.

If that's SSJG then I'm gonna have to say the theory is either the same as Gohan, complete potential pulled out of the depths of his heart without change of appearance, but with Goku's strength it'll reach a godly level, or something unexpected...

No, I just think to use evidence from something that we don't even see to support the sighting of a being that we absolutely are not supposed to see yet in still animation is pretty much retarded. Also being shown that thing that we are not supposed to see yet - in broad view - via some late-night television show is also retarded.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:I'll ask again, what the hell is wrong with you? If that's Super Saiyan God, it looks great! ...but they already did that with False Super Saiyan. It looks much better than FSS, but it's still way too similar.
I don't mind that it's underwhelming, though. In fact, that's one of the things I like about it.

I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

But you did call fans that can see something in the trailers fans without functional brains more than once.

It does fit in with the whole 'you don't need to change your appearance really' thing that the old kai told Gohan regarding his ultimate power-up. I guess the next step after all would be kind of back to almost the basic with slight changes (Goku's hair is wavier in that drawing). So I guess in that regard it does work.elyas11 wrote:If that's SSJG then I'm gonna have to say the theory is either the same as Gohan, complete potential pulled out of the depths of his heart without change of appearance, but with Goku's strength it'll reach a godly level, or something unexpected...
I was hoping for something grander, but Gohan himself is precedent for ultimate forms not looking like ssj forms, so if this is Goku's ssjg, I can accept that. I like the drawing more than I dislike it, so...
On hiatus.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods
I believed that too, but then I thought about the fact that they screwed up at first by giving Gohan SSJ. It made me think, "Wow, so all this time they've been promoting this movie with Super Saiyans, golden hair all rampant throughout the posters and trailers, yet the big big big Super Saiyan doesn't even look remotely like them?"Chuquita wrote:It does fit in with the whole 'you don't need to change your appearance really' thing that the old kai told Gohan regarding his ultimate power-up.elyas11 wrote:If that's SSJG then I'm gonna have to say the theory is either the same as Gohan, complete potential pulled out of the depths of his heart without change of appearance, but with Goku's strength it'll reach a godly level, or something unexpected...
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods
I was thinking the same, appearance isn't anything much anymore. However it might just be a trap.. What if SSjG has more forms..? Like in that form he can go SSj and beyond? The drawing we saw might just be God Goku, not directly SSJG... Just throwing in some theories..Chuquita wrote:It does fit in with the whole 'you don't need to change your appearance really' thing that the old kai told Gohan regarding his ultimate power-up. I just hope he gets more visual effects to strengthen the "power" for him, otherwise it would be lame..

Wished this movie came out sometime in April so I can sit back and laugh about all the possible April Fools pranks. Could've probably been the biggest hoax since AF.

It's weird that we see Goku powering-up into Super Saiyan God, but we also see him fighting Birusu in normal Super Saiyan form instead of Super Saiyan 2 or Super Saiyan 3, which he used in their first battle.
