I have a much more reasonable plan.

Hey, that was my plan! Get your own!

Maybe Hujio could bring his laptop too, and I'll just be on Skype.

Hey, guys:

Please try to keep it as on-topic as possible. I'm using this as one of my central resources for planning, and I need to be able to skim through and see names and confirmations easily.

Meep. So I'm getting the feeling that HoustonRH7 shows up here on Mondays (^_^). But anyway:

Counting me, do we have people anywhere else along the way interested enough that the 'caravan' looks viable?

I think this would probably cost the majority of my pocket-cash.
So I think I know what part of the state I'd be in in the days surrounding the target weekend, and from the looks of it this would require departing late Thursday at the latest. Depending on how many people would hop aboard / how lost we may or may not get (XD) / how many horrible traffic battles interfere... umm... I guess that brings up the question of what time of day we'd need to be in New Jersey Saturday. (I'm assuming evening-ish?)

And just so we're clear, noone involved here is the creepy internet predator type, right? :?
(Because a creepy internet predator preying on 18-30-year-old DB fans is going to readily reveal its identity to potential victims. :P )

Yeah... umm... my preferred departure time is Thursday afternoon. ^^. '''s''at work?

I'm a little late to the party here, but let me ask:

I live in New York City, so will the location of the party be near enough to Manhattan to travel from here by public transit? Does anybody have any idea how I could get there that way? I have yet to visit NJ so I don't really know. I'm keenly interested in this shindig. :)

I'm trying to keep that in mind, actually. Princeton Junction station is near where we are, so I'm thinking of places that have a bus connection from there. I'm hoping to iron it all out this week.

Maybe Mike should consider a live podcast or something to commemorate the 200th episode. And like...have everyone tune in thru skype or something.

I am over 21 and could fairly easily take the train up from Philly (I was planning on doing so for the Meet before it fell through), but I have to ask something first before I'll consider it.

Namely, how much is drinking going to play a part in this? While I am of age, I have no interest in it myself and if it was the kind of party where everyone was drunk most of the time I don't really want to be a part of it.

Ditto (assuming the 'caravan' goes through XD). I'm not too horribly opposed to me lurking silently on the outskirts of the 'arena' occasionally making snide remarks, but if I wanted to gawk at a drunken drunk-fest I'd cross the parkinglot rather than the country. :)
I'm expecting something relatively loose, though... Hmm. ^^

RE: DRINKING

I can't speak for anyone else, but personally? I'm not some punk high school or college kid that needs to drink to prove anything. It's just a tasty social thing. Whatevs.

Corey's gonna be out cold on the floor, though. Just sayin'.

Anyway... :P

RE: STUFFAGE

I'm leaning pretty heavily toward hanging out in New Brunswick (New Jersey, not Canada!) that evening. I have a couple places in mind. Gonna walk over on my lunch break (I work up here :P) and ask around. There are also a few local bars and the Grease Trucks for super-late-night eatings. There's also an NJ Transit station right here for easy commuting (though not all expresses stop here, so pay attention to the schedules). There are also several parking decks on a couple of the streets here (on-street parking is kinda like NYC where you can if you find a spot, but good luck... parking decks are available and relatively cheap).

For the record, no, we're not recording anything at this get-together. Maybe someone will take pictures, but that's it.

I would ***REALLY APPRECIATE*** some more solid confirmations/non-confirmations from people on whether or not you're coming now that you've got a date (Saturday, December 5th) and a (probable) location (New Brunswick, NJ). I'll compile another updated list in this thread when you let me know.

EDIT: Just ran down to Sapporo and talked with the manager. Sounds like we'd easily be accommodated. There's no "party room" or anything like that, but it's pretty spacious. There's a full bar at the front of the place, there's a sushi bar in the back alongside tons of regular dinner tables, and there's also a separated hibachi room. I even got some coupons to share :P. There's also a 10% coupon for dinner on their site if you click "Fun" and go through the steps. I'm figuring most of us will be doing the bar and sushi stuffage, though if you want to sit at a table for dinner, go for it! Like I said, there are plenty of other bars and restaurants along the main drag, too.

IMPORTANT EDIT 2: I don't know if I need to make this clear, but... uhh... everyone's responsible for their own eatings or drinkings or whatever. I'm just organizing where to have this thing. I'm not paying for you :P.

Totally dependent on HoustonRH... and ... soon on the confirming would be a big help. :?

Well fuck lol, for a brief moment I actually had a small glimmer of hope. (Even though having it over here doesn't make any sense xD)

I was going to try to go, but then you settled on the 5th. That's my B-day, so I'll be busy doing my own thing. :(
Maybe for 500th episode.

Question. Will there be an age restriction? Do I have to be 21?

Not really an age restriction, so long as you don't make the rest of us feel old and creepy. H-how... uhh... how old...?

13. But I don't know if I'll make it so I'm not sure so there may be chance I'll be there if I'm old enough too.

I'd say that covers old and creepy. xP
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
