Sheesh, talk about over reacting over nothing. Both sides are right, yeah i do understand VegettoEX's point, the franchise needs our money to continue. Sadly I'm poor as shit at the moment, don't live anywhere near from where I could get a jump issue and don't speak, nor am I interested in speaking Japanese. If it was cheap and near me I would probably buy it anyway. And if it's ever out in English and collected, I will buy it. Some of you can buy it right now and perhaps show Jump that the fans are still interested and want more. That's all that's been said. Make like the new Freeza guy and chill :3
Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga
Honestly, I think it's for the same reason that people take the things you say that they LIKE to heart and use you yourself as a reference. You're pretty much viewed as the pinnacle of DragonBall Fandom. A celebrity fan if you will. I know back like 4 or so years ago when I met you at AnimeNEXT, I was exited as heck. In other words, people take what VegettoEX says very seriously. So if he says something they dislike, they take it to heart because of who it's coming from.VegettoEX wrote:I'm with Lemmy -- why do you people have to take things to such crazy degrees and get your panties in a wad over a helpful suggestion?

Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga
I saw the issue in the Sydney Kinokuniya the other day for about $15. Didn't buy it though as I wanted to get the newest CoroCoro instead for the new chapter of the Pokémon movie, Victini and the Black Hero: Zekrom, adaptation. I might consider picking it up later in the week though.SHINOBI-03 wrote:What about your local Kinokuniya stores. Don't they have them?

I can only try to search for scanlations because they don't sell stuff like this in China, and right now I haven't got any money to spare...

So...Does anyone think there's a legit shot at this getting a Tankobon release?

Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga
Probably not as just this. I suppose there could be an Ooishi compilation later on with the two "Yo! Son Goku and Friends Return" chapters, the "Episode of Bardock" Chapters, and maybe some other stuff she might do in the future (I don't think DBSD really fits in with these).Gozar wrote:So...Does anyone think there's a legit shot at this getting a Tankobon release?
Can anyone who has the magazine get a nice and clean close-up picture of this page?

I'd really like to see the full body shot and color scheme for Chilled that they included on the page.
Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga
For three chapters? Probably not, unless Rachel pops in telling us each is sixty chapters.Gozar wrote:So...Does anyone think there's a legit shot at this getting a Tankobon release?

Speaking of page length, how long is this first chapter?

Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga
Judging from the images I've seen, about 19 pages. The title page looks to be on p.25 and the chapter looks to end with Chilled on p.45, but the page with the DVD announcement for the specials is on the back of the title page.JulieYBM wrote:Speaking of page length, how long is this first chapter?

Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga
I was only able to find the July issue. Well, since we get JUMP a week later, ((and we waited three more weeks till we got the new Transformers toys)), I'll wait a bit more till it reaches our shores.

I know a forum with the scans of all pages in good quality, but not if you put the link. Doubt about putting the link...If I place it breaks any forum rule?

Huh, according to that scan, Toriyama designed Chilled. Has that been mentioned yet?

Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga
Yep, that's correct. 19 pages of actual manga, plus the title page and history page.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Judging from the images I've seen, about 19 pages. If all three chapters are the same length, then that's way too small for a typical tankoubon. I would love for some kind of compilation with the JSAT08 manga, though.

People probably would love you if you give the link... I don't think any rules would be broken...

Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga
...miiiiiiight be better to restrict sharing of that nature to more private formats. A page here and there is one thing, but entire chapters? I'm by no means an authority, but this kinda feels like a common sense issue to me. ^_^;
Still, that's just my take on it. I could very well be in error. I'm sure that Mike or some other mod will chime in with the final word, though.

Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga
Has anyone been able to find this online? I would buy it if I lived in a city but I don't.

Re: Ooishi Doing V-Jump Manga
There is no need to post any link. In the Internet era anyone can search on Google for other sites linking to this image.
As far I can tell, that picture of the Freeza race dude with red skin is actually of multiple characters, as they have VERY distinct characteristics. By the way, the one on the left looks female to me. Too bad we can't se the chest. Edit: actually we can see in one picture, no breasts
It also uses the image of SSJ3 Trunks from that cardgame (despite that Trunks hair is not that of SSJ3). Interesting, there are other characters of the Majin race. If I got it, these Dragon Ball hero characters with black hair are transformed Majins?
