I didn't say you didn't give reasons, I said you didn't give proper reasons. All you have said is that it doesn't make sense because it never happened before in the manga (even though it never had a chance to happen), because it didn't happen in cases you believe it should happen (even though evidence show that it shouldn't happen), because you don't like the idea of a SS2 surpassing a SS3 (even though nothing says it's completely impossible), and because you don't like it since this is DB & not Fairy Tail (even though this has nothing to do with it).

Again, it's temporary, Vegeta was talking about something far less short term. It was like a burst of adrenaline, much like when grandmothers lift cars to protect their grandchildren.
The biggest truths aren't original. The truth is ketchup. It's Jim Belushi. Its job isn't to blow our minds. It's to be within reach.

Like I've repeated countless times already, it seems that this mysterious power is part of Vegeta's dormant power instead of his normal power, most likely because of his personality.
It's not a burst of adrenaline, it's specifically because he wanted to protect someone, as it's officially confirmed.

But it wasn't a permanent power up, it was not different than when Gohan flew off the handle. It was a transient power boost.
