It'd show an attempted delivery on your status at dhl.com if they've tried yet. Otherwise, I'd give them until 5pm. Might be busy.

lol It must be painful to have wait for work to end before being able enjoy them. I opened mine the minute it arrived. Too bad there's no option for full screen(it seems like being teased when I watch the things like previews for the same movie on the same dvd and they're not cropped :P ).

My package got here at 10am [CST], and so, as sleeping late-- I missed it. ARRGH!

So I spent an hour talking to various (albiet each helpful in their own way) people, as well as hearing strange, and unsettling recordings, to finally get the location of DHL for pickup-- only to get called 20 minutes later by the location, and have them tell me that the driver wont be back till after 7pm, despite him writing on the slip that I could pick it up at 5pm, and so, either I pick it up tommorow before 2pm [when they close], or I wait till Monday to get it dropped off [yes, I am going to have it dropped off. =/] so, yeah, boned.

I guess I can't wear my scouter to Easter dinner tommorow night. =(

My digital camera is busted, so I can't take pics, but I can say this much:

WOW.

This box is amazing. The discs themselves do have extras for each movie, consisting of two spots for each movie and the original poster. The quality on the movies themselves is GREAT.

Oh, and the movies aren't letterboxed, they're actual 16:9 widescreen. Difference being that letterbox has black bars encoded as part of a 4:3 image to give a 'false' widescreen, whereas 16:9 is an actual 16:9 image. It looks amazing though.

Back to enjoyment, move input later :)

EDIT:Damn my non-knowledge of Japanese! There's a movie FAQ in the book, and judging from the pictures it probably explains a lot we've always wondered!

Good news! My box came in while I was at work. Opened it up on my break and it's FANTASTIC.

When I come back from work, I'll take pictures of everything. :x

I haven't received it yet (and wont be for a little bit of time), but I HAVE found pictures via AoD's Region 2/3 forum, with their picture "orgies".

Open Box
Closed Box
Front of the DVDBOX
DVDBOX Spine
Front of the DVDBOX #2: Electric Boogaloo
Back of the DVDBOX
Pictures of the two cases, and the DragonBook
Volume 1 Cover
Contents of Volume 1
Volume 2 Cover
Contents of Volume 2
The Book
Back of the Book
Scouters!
SCOUTERS!
THINGS!!!!

Overall, if this is to be your only Dragonbox, it's the best choice given the standalone nature of the Movies. It's (once again) an impressive set, which while it could stand to be kind-of less expensive, isn't too bad, considering.

This...this is friggin' AWESOME.

I can easily say that it was very well worth the $350+ to get this. The box itself is beautiful to look at, the DVD "books" look really nice, and the DragonBook is a really nice touch. And, like MajinVejitaXV, I say damn my limited Japanese/kanji knowledge...there's an interview with Hironobu Kageyama included that I'd love to actually understand (besides the blurb about his top 3 songs from the movies). Not to mention there's a forward by Toriyama-sensei, a section called Design Labo (hurray for Engrish!), a whole guide to the characters, and as mentioned earlier a FAQs. The Scouters are really nice looking, but unfortunately my hair is so long and thick I won't be able to wear one until I get it cut. :?

When someone gets the Scouters working, do me a favor and tell us what sort of range the audio gets. I didn't order the Dragon Box, but as someone who was really into walkie-talkies as a kid, I'd be interested to know.

That's Mike alright Lemmy, and to top that off, he just gave us in the chatroom a reading of his cats respective Battle Power. They're each at 2 million, it's shocking. They out-do Turtle by a long, long margin.

That picture is classic.

64 pages. I find that disgustingly amusing :).

Hmm, seems like $300.00 is well worth it. I feel like a jerk buying the single discs now. If you buy like 5 or 6 single DVD's its around 300 bucks anyways. Sad face indeed my friends. I should have pre-orderd this Dragonbox. Hey, are they still for sale or was it pre-order only?

Edit: Lol, the avatar...

I would have ordered it, but I need to save my money for something bigger.

I've worked out how to do the singles so they're cheaper. Preorder them in lots of nine, use the cheaper shipping option (which reduces the whole "pay higher for first item" thing for two orders), whihc isn't actually too bad, and it ends up being cheaper. Of course, do this from amazon.jp.

They were pre-order only when I pre-ordered mine, however I just checked out the listing, and they've still got the buy option with it, rather than removed, so there's a good chance you could still get one if you hurry.

I'd say the extras make it more than worth the investment. And, frankly, even though I don't physically have mine yet, I am still happy that I went and got in on this, and I forsee much fun, sillyness, and a healthy amount of geekyness to be had when I get it either tommorow, or Monday.

Aha! Scouter time is aproaching!
