What would the general consensus be if Dragon Ball GT was announced today?

If Super was released in the 90's the way it is right now, its reception wouldn't be very different than that of the Z movies.
Like, they're not outright despised like GT, but even being blessed with the nostalgia factor and the 90's art style at its best, they're not very respected either. I assume the best thing it would do to Super is make everybody not joke about how awful its animation is.

Take all the criticism it has and multiply it by 100 because people would spam all over the internet. Think twitter and youtube videos with clickbait thumbnails. Add people calling it nostalgia bait, a tiny amount of people wanting to cancel the show over naked Kid Goku, and comparisons to DBS if it aired before in this what-if.

On the other hand, if DBS aired in the 90s it would be in the same position GT is today with a cult fanbase, except no form would get the hype SSJ4 has.
