So wait, did I miss something? Season 1 of GT is 34 episodes now instead of 32?
From what i've seen so far, the GT Remastering process looks really good. The colors look true to the original.Sprite Satan wrote:I wonder if Steve Franco will push for the dubbing and remastered release of Dragon Moon X and the Seven Balls or whatever that was called when they're done with GT.
See it the way it was meant to seen!

If you missed something, then I missed it too; I was under the impression that we were still getting 32 episodes per set. At least 34 episodes would justify having SSJ4 Goku on the cover, which would be nice; having to wait for SSJ4 until Season Two kinda sucks. Although personally, I'd rather they just complete the Baby arc in this first set rather than dole it out to us in pieces . . .disturbed001 wrote:So wait, did I miss something? I'm pretty sure FUNi announced 34. Wasn't it originally 32. Then jumped to 36 and then down to 34?Li'l Lemmy wrote:If you missed something, then I missed it too; I was under the impression that we were still getting 32 episodes per set. Oh dear god.Li'l Lemmy wrote:Awesome, yes. But not really his speed. It needs to be ROCKETMAN REMASTERED.
There we go. All the faux-remastering in the world couldn't fuck up THIS release-- he'd buy two. Thousand.

In that sense, this is actually an improvement: I do not want to have the GT-special paired up with the last DBZ-movie, not to mention that this means that the last double-feature will be movie 12 and 13, which means that we'll get the two best movies (IMO) in the same release, which is awesome. Still, having movie 7 and 8 here, and having the last set as a 3-pack would have made a lot more sense. The Time Traveller wrote:What the fuck? What the fucking fuck!? Well, it's makes sense, a triple feature for Movies 7/10/11. I guess that means one less release since we were anticipating Wrath/Legacy to be fused.
The trailer indicates that it's just touched up... Which means that GT's season-sets will be better than the Z-ones in every way, except that they will probably not have alternate angles, so we'll only get english title-cards and credits, which I can live with as long as the japanese eyecatchers are used, and they have all the openings and endings intact.kusakun004 wrote:Is FUNi rushing with the "remastering" or did they just touch up the quality slightly and press it onto DVD? I hope these aren't Season 2-looking sets.
There is no film for FUNi to remaster in GT's case. They only have the digi-beta tapes they were given years ago and as we know, there's only so much they can do with that source material. In fact, I find it kinda weird and false-leading in how they're pimping these as "Digitally Remastered"; these marketing people consider color "correction" and better encoding remastering?kusakun004 wrote:I find it interesting how DBZ season sets seem to get four months inbetween releases and the two DBGT sets are released two months apart. Seriously, FUNi is going to be releasing all of DBGT in three months time. Is FUNi rushing with the "remastering" or did they just touch up the quality slightly and press it onto DVD? But they're two separate series; I don't think FUNimation would release them both at once. If Wal-Mart's listings are reliable, then we're getting the GT special as PART of GT Season Two.Gozar wrote:Seconded...Or Dubbed "The Plan to Eradicate the Saiya-jin" or "Heya! I realize that. But it is of the same franchise. I'm just saying I'd rather have it like that then have my movies out of order. They could do what Toei is doing and release it with the 10th Anniversary movie. That would make more sense to me, since it's an actual movie and not a TV Special.Conan the SSJ wrote:They could've always released it with the GT special.Deep Thought wrote:Where the hell does that leave Movie 13, all by itself? Couldn't have put it better myself. Unless movie 13 came with the new special, I would rather have an amazing DB movie with DBZ 13 than have it sit by itself or with a crummy GT special.Hujio wrote:They could do what Toei is doing and release it with the 10th Anniversary movie.
