Well, I suppose my opinion is rather biased after the cruddy adapted stuff Blue Water did on the opening and first ending. With how accurate the lyrics are and how I think the singing tone is even closely similar to Field of View's, awesome is the word I'm going with. I didn't think the singing was so flat as to ruin the experience, as said, this Justin sounds like he nailed a similar-enough tone to keep the spirit of the song. Now that you bring it up though, there is a MIDI type feel to the music which I'd caught on to in Vic's opening, which (similar to my question on the last bit of footage in the second opening) makes me wonder why FUNi didn't just license instrumental versions from the CD releases.VegettoEX wrote:Really? I thought that one was particularly MIDI-rific with horribly flat singing. Amazing disappointment, especially after an acceptable job with the opening (which I suppose is far more important than the endings).
Huh, though they didn't have a textless version of the second opening on any of the original singles, right? So they must've gotten it from the Japanese version of one of the openings and painted out the Kanji.MagicBox wrote:Yeah, it looks pretty bad. It looks the same on the Japanese version of the old singles too. FUNi probably got it from there. Personally, even though it looks like crap, I'm still surprised FUNi actually noticed that the opening changed slightly.
