Just replayed the story and... Anyone else think that the story might be setting Trunks up as a future antagonist?

That would be amazing if handled well just for the sake of something fresh. Towa and Mira are both dead so if there will be a XV3 there's gotta be someone new.

I would not consider them dead quite yet. If you notice in the character selection, both Towa & Mira have "Universe 7 Clothing." Does this mean they are going to be in Universe 6, Universe 10, or any of the others in the Multiverse? Also, once again, I point out the suspicious absence of Dabura.

The "Universe 7 clothing" really puzzled me too. I wonder what the reason for that was

I'm just sitting here waiting for Vegito Blue & Merged Zamasu to release... Also hoping we get SSBlue for CaC... But I doubt it.

The second pack is gonna be released some time in February, no news on the other characters, so this pack probably won't introduce characters like Gokū Black Super Saiyan Rosé, Zamas or Vegetto SSGSS. Only Vados and Champa.

I really liked Nadolny as GT Goku but Clinkenbeard sounds awful as him. Her Gohan is okay

Exactly my thoughts. I'll also add that I don't think Clinkenbeard works for Cell arc Gohan. Bearable, but not my preference.

This is how I feel as well.

I think she did a great portraying pre-Saiyan Gohan, much better than Nadolny honestly. He made him sound so weak that you just want to hug him and get him away from the Saiyans. Her more mature, Gohan was okay after I got used to it. Her Super Saiyan 2 berserk Gohan was extremely lackluster, which is odd since I know she can play badass characters who goes into fits of uncontrollable rage. She plays Luffy and Erza for god sakes. I can honestly say that her performance brought down the entire finale of the Cell fight. That and the music placement.

Her Goku is just awful, imo. I know Luffy is based on Goku, but you don't have to used Luffy's voice. GT Goku is literally the only voice in Xenoverse that I wish I could mute. Although, maybe I should blame whoever gave her vocal directions and not Clinkenbeard. And to be fair, Nadolny got to play kid Goku throughout Dragon Ball, got to know the character, and grow into him. While Clinkenbeard just plays kid Goku in clips and the first Dragon Ball movie, so she doesn't have the experience.

Why does the page speak as if you have to buy DLC pack 1 to get Whis as a mentor?

I finally got my PS4 on Christmas so have been playing XV2 almost every day since. It leaves a lot to be desired. I haven't gotten the Season Palls or Pack 1 for clear reasons; there isn't any reason to. Going through the story myself, it was overall kinda weak and characters were just used and tossed away unceremoniously. They suggest Slug and Turles may still be alive, but don't appear again after Namek. Cooler shows up for one mission then he's gone just as quickly. Broly and Janemba have no real build up or introduction and are just kinda there, being utterly wasted.

Overall I'm just bit disappointed with the whole experience. The Color Buu's generally give the same things over and over again, and the Krillin/Yamcha events for TP medals are tedious and boring, and is more rewarding to just do Expert Missions. Also the Great Ape Baby special event was utter bullshit.

I think my biggest grievance is the fact that there is no power leveling. As in all new CaC's don't get access to all the PQ's already unlocked by my main, and that they all have to go through the tutorial missions. Every. Single. Time. It's incredibly aggravating and annoying to do that multiple times over. I like that they don't have every Story part in the Time Vault just open, but not having access to the list of PQ's or full items in the shops until your next character is progressed that far in the story as well is just a big slap in the face.

Now I hope that the DLC does not only include Vados and Champa, if so, I will say that the DLCs of XENOVERSE 2 sucks, they are worse than in the first game, it is not worth paying so much for two characters and a very few skills and outfits.

1. Skills are separate from Equipment, but Super Souls may not be.
2. You buy them from the Clothing Vendor. They become available after lv15 or so.
3. Yes. Because that's how they make their money from completionists.

They better include the Champa Saga in the DLC_Pack #2 Story-Mode, otherwise I will be fucking dissappointed :/
I bought the season pass, because I thought they want to bring out as much stuff like back then for Xenoverse.
Instead we only got like 2 generic characteres and ...3 pq's.

When it's all done and I know what I'm getting from everything, then I'll consider it. But I'm done paying for material that should've been in the main game from the beginning. It's called "having a complete experience".

No. While they could be, nothing at the end of that video stated those latter characters would be in DLC Pack #2. It just mentioned that they would eventually be playable, with a Season Pass banner in the corner.
