Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods"

Thinking things over again, I'm starting to wonder if the conclusion of the movie will come down to more than simply over-powering the villain.

I can feel my childhood giving me a warm hug after reading the past 2 pages of new information.
This feels so much like Toriyama's work! I'm reading all this stuff with a smile on my face LOL

It keeps getting better and better. At first I was kind of not expecting much, now I think that this is already the best DBZ movie!

Heh~heh, Vegeta's only respite will be that Goku won't be there to witness him forcing himself through what I'm hoping will be a medley of falsely-sugarcoated madness.
Will Goku at least learn that this happened by the end of the film? I envision Vegeta making everyone else swear to secrecy that his host routine never happened and that Kakarrotto must never know.

I am so hyped for this part of the movie now. This is the sort of thing I never imagined I'd see outside of doujinshi and fics, and yet it's happening. X3

I would love If Goku found out! It would be amazing. I'd actually quite like if he couldn't manage to dance, so he instead decides to get drunk to loosen up. This will probably be the best part of the film.

I think Uisu might be too major for Vegeta to defeat. They're hyping him up as something big (see poster ), so I think Goku will be responsible for the defeats of both of them. That, or Kaio gets in on the action.

But then again, there are supposedly strong links to Vegeta and the Saiyan race in this movie so you never know. That might be enough to warrant Vegeta receiving a bit of credit.

I mean, Goku's not one to normally tease Vegeta (outside of the Jump special which I kind of appropriate to Goku being bored) he'd probably just be nice and half-clueless to Vegeta about it and somehow that'd make Vegeta feel even worse than if he were teased. XD

And yes drunk Vegeta would be fun. I feel like he'd do a bunch of drunken rambling about Kakarrotto though. X3

The return of drunk Gohan!? the last time he got drunk, we got this incredibly silly song, hallucinations, and Kuririn got peed on. I don't know why, but think it'd be a good idea to hide Videl while Gohan is drunk hahaha
And a dancing, happy Vegeta is already a sold deal for me. This is going to be one of the most hilarious moments in Dragon Ball movie history. And I won't miss it!
So, I guess it's official, Vegeta has joined the likes of Piccolo and Tenshinhan. Characters who were really important ....and now, not so much...

Oh god you're right! I bet Goku would be like that! It'd be like in the manga when Goku thought Vegeta would do the fusion dance with him, Piccolo says he doesn't think Vegeta would do it if he was still alive, and Goku just responds with "Really? Why?" Goku doesn't really make a big deal about this type of stuff.

Oh I gotta see that. Vegeta drunk rambling about Kakorrotto would make this movie even better. Oh the stuff he would say.

I'm right with you on that, it seems he won't though, besides there being no hint in the track list for the movie, I'm sure it would have been announced before the SSJG.

As for Goku putting up a fight at SSJ1/2 while getting owned at SSJ3, I think the space fight is when Goku's Super Saiyan God powers begin to wake, throughout the space fight he gets more and more powerful until he becomes the Super Saiyan God.

As for Vegeta entertaining Birusu I really really want him to get up on that stage and sing 'Saiyan Blood' to entertain the God of destruction.

I wonder why Toei Animation didn't give him Super Saiyan 3 in Dragon Ball GT but skipped to Super Saiyan 4. Surely Akira Toriyama would some place in his heart to give Vegeta something special in the movie.

Typically whenever they've had SSj3 transformations, it's been advertised fairly early on. Likely as a hype-building thing. Raging Blast, Heroes, etc.

I know these are both video games, but my point still stands that if they had SSj3 Vegeta in the film, I'm sure they'd be using that as hype fuel already.

Hasn't Toriyama said that he doesn't really care much for Vegeta? Or is that another one of those rumors that has gained far too much momentum?
