Not Dragon Ball's art style, and a totally different color pallet from what we've seen in the rest of the movie. Even with the bad quality, the colors should appear more vibrant.

Anyone recognize these shots from another series? I actually don't watch much new shounen these days outside of One Piece.

1. Nothing in those screenshots resemble Dragon Ball at all maybe except for the aura.
2. Vegeta Reaching SSJ3 isn't really a necessity of mine. Personally I think he can do it but they never have him do it in any official animation I'm fine with that too. Its definitely not going to mean shit in BOG since SSJ3 Goku, Ultimate Gohan and Gotenks are all gonna get their asses kicked anyway.
On the note of the little back and forth between the fan and Watanabe on twitter. I take Watanabe's comments to mean that, no Vegeta won't reach SSJ3, but giving his track record he has the most experience in outer space so its likely that he's seen things or heard of things that the rest of the Z fighters save for Piccolo (because of Kami) could not even fathom so he will be able to keep himself relevant.
It's not too late. One day, it will be.

For the modern era of DB games, Vegeta in that form is often called "Majin Vegeta" even in the Japanese games.
