For the recent games, Vegeta in that form is called "Majin Vegeta" even in the Japanese games.

I'm completely ok with Vegeta being 'the guy who knows everything, but has no interest in talking about it to anyone'. I actually find it kinda funny. Everyone else freaking out over stuff and Vegeta being all nonchalant about it. XD

Someone on the 2ch thread mentioned that they're going to the March 12th showing, so between the two of them there should definitely be plot news appearing post-showings.

I find it funny to see "super Saiya-jin GOD" because, in my mind, GOD = God of Destruction.

I'm glad Boo is the one to piss off Birusu. He doesn't quite feel like one of the Z Senshi and always seemed a walking time-bomb, imo. Maybe this way the others will try to help and defend him.

Since it's Buu who's behind it and not Vegeta, I wonder if this means Vegeta's acting is really that good or that he was at least able to successfully hold up his act so Birusu didn't catch on. I thought for sure that Vegeta'd just reach a point where he snaps because his pride just can't take it; this makes me think Vegeta's got more patience than I gave him credit for.

I always thought Vegeta would snap too. Maybe the Buu arc events changed Vegeta a hell of a lot more than I thought.

I'm so impressed that he doesn't snap. That's some maturity. Vegeta may not have any hidden powers in this movie, but he's got a hell of a lot of hidden patience apparently. Not to mention hidden acting and dancing abilities. I can't wait to see it. OMG I can't wait to see it. X3

Well, of course Vegeta has good acting. How else do you think he survived for +20 years under Freeza's rule? He might also be familiar of Ginyu's dancing poses.

I know right, maybe he knows how crazy powerful Birusu is. I really can't see him acting like this unless he knows they'll be doomed if something sets him off. Well Vegeta loves Earth and his family a lot, especially if he's willing to act like this that's for sure.

I wouldn't comment on his "hidden dancing abilities" yet, he could suck, really bad. I'm picturing Vegeta trying to disco dance for some reason.

It'd be funny if the Kaioshins watch it from their realm, and maybe Goku just happens to turn up.

It'll be fun to see Vegeta panicking when he sees all the effort he put into appeasing Birusu going to waste because of Buu. I can imagine Vegeta subtly strong-arming various characters like Oolong to be pleasant to Birusu, but being completely powerless and hopeless when it comes to Buu.

He must realize how powerful Birusu is (also is New Namek in the same galaxy as Earth? If so that'd mean Vegeta knows that if Birusu destroys the galaxy, there'd be no back-up dragon balls on Namek to wish everything back to normal).

It really is a credit to how much he cares for his family.

Dancing is really difficult athletic stuff from what I've gathered from those I know who do dance. It's possible that even though Vegeta's got the muscle for it, he doesn't have the choreography. XD
I still wanna see him try.

I hope Goku sees it, even if Vegeta doesn't see him seeing it and only learns that Goku saw his act later. X3
And of course Goku's Goku so he'd be all nice to Vegeta about it while Vegeta just half-dies of embarrassment.


More excited that I thought I could possibly be for new dbz content at this point in time. I'm so unusually old-school-hyped-up right now in a way I haven't been in years. I really thought the Jump Tour special was the final hurrah for this type of DB special, but then this movie appears and it's just full of Toriyama-style humor and I'm just beside myself with amazement right now. X3

I remember a chapter I read of the Toriko manga, where Toriko appears after obtaining some sort of power up, and he had long hair. I immediately thought of that when I saw the images. Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Well, the "Majin Vegeta" term is a fan term that FUNi took it, and made it's way to the English video games. Vegeta in that "form" is called Demon Prince (of Destruction) Vegeta in Japanese materials. The title Majin goes only to Boo.
Besides, it's not even a form. It's just Vegeta under Babidi's mind control, and the power increase he got from Babidi is a separate process than mind control.
So, Vegeta's "ultimate form" is Super Saiyan 2.

Video games are just like the movies. anything that is done by Toei is not official. Just like V-jump power levels in the Cooler movie. Piccolo is like 10x stronger than each of them and he's almost struggling. (facepalm) And also remember how Budokai 3 gave Trunks a SSJ2 form even though we never saw him as one?

I'm curious as to what you think "official" means, because all of the DB material put out by Toei is official in a rather matter-of-fact, legal sense. "Official" doesn't have anything to do with fan concerns such as "canon", continuity, or what does and does not "count". Rather, it's about which companies do or do not have the legal right to make DB products.

Not sure about when V-Jump started, but the BPs for Coola's henchmen appeared in Weekly Jump shortly before DBZ movie 5 debuted, rather than V-Jump. Instead, V-Jump gave a BP for Coola himself, along with Broli and Gogeta, around the time of DBZ 3/Budokai 3's release, to celebrate their inclusion in that game.
