No...It seems to be a list of crazy-ass things that have happened at the Tenkaichi Budokai, as selected by the announcer himself. Goku and Chi-Chi getting married is #1, Piccolo blowing up the tournament grounds is #2.dbboxkaifan wrote:This means they're going to release the original Dragon Ball in colour too? Awesome!

Aw bummer how I wish they would release Dragon Ball in full colour too. Thank you very much, Hermes.

Re: DBZ portion of Manga to be in full color?!
Are there no Q&A's in the first two Buu Arc volumes or have you just not had the time to translate them?
I just want to know

I wouldn't do the third one and leave out the first two for no reason, especially when nothing new is revealed in #3.

Well that's disappointing, I guess they couldn't find anything interesting in the high school chapters.SaiyaJedi wrote:There are none.dbgtFO wrote:Are there no Q&A's in the first two Buu Arc volumes or have you just not had the time to translate them?

I really hope we get the pre-Z portion of the series after these last Majin Buu volumes.

Re: DBZ portion of Manga to be in full color?!
I find it interesting that 80s Jump is getting a lot of good full color treatment.
Of course there's Dragon Ball...we've been talking about it for a while:

Fist of the North Star we got colored in America for a while (stupid going out of business company...):

I don't know about the original, but Saint Seiya's modern series, Next Dimension, is in Full Color:

As is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, but I'm having trouble finding scans of it. We may be getting that for the coming JJBA manga release coming next year, I'm not sure (I've heard the Jojonium release has color from the digital version).
With this in mind, I do find myself curious. Do you guys like the advent of full color comics in Japan? Would you like to see more comics be colorized in post? Would you like to see more comics actually start off in color?
I personally like it, but the fun of a message board is in discussing things with other people.

I just hope we get the rest of the DBZ Manga in full color.

I'm sure by the end of the year we'll have the first or second volume of the frieza arcRetan wrote:I just hope we get the rest of the DBZ Manga in full color.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
Re: DBZ portion of Manga to be in full color?!
I like it a lot, too. Apart from most comic strips, nearly all comic books in the West are full color, and I don't see why manga should be any different. Color not only breathes new life into the artwork, it also gives the book more of a "prestige" feel. As for comics starting off already colorized, that could be tricky... weekly serialization is really grinding and Jump's paper quality is rubbish, so it would probably be really hard time-wise and just not worth it to print it in color from the get-go. But I do think that the tankoubon should already come colorized. The colorists are completely separate from the mangaka and his/her assistants, so it wouldn't mess with serialization in any way. However, I do believe the artwork should be done from the start with colorization in mind. Post-coloring has worked out well so far, but it would be better that way, especially for some of the background art.Mewzard wrote:With this in mind, I do find myself curious. The thing that really irks me the most is how many other manga that I like already have color versions (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Death Note...) but are only available digitally. Even though e-books are a rising trend, I think they should also cater to the print-editon crowd, which is still the majority; not to mention color editions are at their best on print, in my opinion, especially due to the increase in paper quality.
I just can't get enough of Sintzu's optimismsintzu wrote: I'm sure by the end of the year we'll have the first or second volume of the Freeza arc
But I really hope he's right. Apart from lipless Popo and stupid Vegeta "killing" Goku's grandpa, these releases just look so good.
I have noticed something lately. I have been analyzing Viz's facebook page, where fans can ask any question; and the best part is most get answered, so it's really good for getting some insight into their inner workings. Whenever fans suggest new series for Viz to publish or just ask them to continue cancelled series (Like Gintama and Reborn!), Viz usually gives one out of of four answers: 1 - "We apologize for the inconvenience"; 2 - "Thank you for your suggestion, we will take it into consideration"; 3 - "We hope you will consider the other great series we plan to announce"; 4 - "We plan on keeping all previously printed volumes in stock". But whenever someone asks them if they plan on continuing Dragon Ball Full Color (and there are quite a few people), they give out a different answer: "For the time being we only have plans to release the Saiyan arc. If that changes we will let you all know."
This different answer indicates that they most likely do have plans to continue into the Namek arc, they just can't announce it yet. They probably will announce it at this year's Anime Expo, same as they did last year with the Saiyan arc. Just hope Sintzu's right and we don't have to wait until next year to get them...

So, the final 3 Buu Arc volumes have been released and Julian usually grabs them on release day. Since he's not complaining over on Twitter, should we assume that they don't include any new Q&As or anything to wait for?

No, there is stuff in all three volumes this time; it's just that I have no free time this weekend to work on them. Next week is exams week at my school, though, so I'll see what I can do once I submit grades.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:So, the final 3 Buu Arc volumes have been released and Julian usually grabs them on release day. Wasn't trying to rush you; I can definitely wait. I just didn't want to be expecting something that was never going to come, because it didn't exist. lol
Thanks and take your time.

I've been curious whether the scene of Dr. Gero snapping the random guy's neck has been included in this colored manga. Do any of you have information regarding this one?
