Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Hopefully most of the animation of the movie is better than what the teaser gave us. I know what we saw was brief, but the animation was not fluid in the least.

Yeah, it was definetely all a bit jerky looking, as though each shot could have done with a couple more tween frames added.Kingdom Heartless wrote:Hopefully most of the animation of the movie is better than what the teaser gave us. Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Why is everyone predicting Broly? I'm pretty sure the first editor wouldn't approve if AT showed him Broly. Besides isn't Broly like dead in terms of hype? I'm sure the 3rd movie mustta killed any fans he had left.
My guess is he revives the ex-God of Destruction/Destroyer so he could get tips or something & this fella is actually not as cool as Beerus & a plethora of destruction ensues, thus forcing Whis to come down on his own, (with it impossible to wake Lord Beerus until the 3 years are up, assuming).

If this is a 100% Toriyama story as we are led to believe, I'm willing to bet my pay packet that there will be no Broly. There's only one guy who would bring Broly back, and as far as we know, he's not anywhere near this project - and based on his disparaging remarks about 'Battle of Gods', I'd wager it unlikely that he'll be invited to write a screenplay for Dragonball any time soon.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Why is everyone predicting Broly?

I'll be pissed if the new villain one-shots Whis with a spork.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Blade is talking about Takao Koyama, series organizer for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z and the script writer for all original 13 Dragon Ball Z films. He of course was not involved with Battle of Gods, so he went to see it all by himself and had this to say about it afterwards. Oh, and Broli is his baby, and no one should bad mouth him, ever.

Doesn't really seem like impressions, more like him just talking about how scary he thinks Broli is.. If I didn't completely misread it, didn't he also say something in an interview in the DBox Movies booklet, about how Brolli was used three times because "He's the strongest of all and nobody can surpass him, even in the manga"?Hujio wrote:Blade is talking about Takao Koyama, series organizer for Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z and the script writer for all original 13 Dragon Ball Z films. Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Any ideas on who they want to revive?
I jokingly thought "Broly" and laughed my ass off. But in all seriousness I don't see anyone in this world at least that can be a threat to them. Freeza and Cell can be dealt swiftly, Majin Buu is still alive, and Kid Buu is already reincarnated. Do you think it would be like that time with Hirudegarn? Someone from other planet coming to use the Dragon Balls?
I wonder, why don't they go to New Namek instead? It would be so much easier to deal with the namekians.
Are we sure the "I want you to revive someone" is in singular? Could it be a group of people? xD Imagine if they revived other saiyans.

It could be anyone really. Gine, Bardock, the first SSJG or SSJ (if Toriyama goes off EOB, hopefully not), someone entirely new, etc.soulnova wrote:Any ideas on who they want to revive?

All these Broly comments are killing me!
I'd rather see Guldo brought back than Broly. LOL
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Yeah, we really should get that Q&A up on the site at some point... But in the meantime, here's that specific question from the Dragon Box The Movies' Dragon Book (Warning: the opinion expressed in the following passage is solely that of Takao Koyama, and is not intended to represent the views of series creator Akira Toriyama or anyone else involved in the franchise.):Vegard Aune wrote:If I didn't completely misread it, didn't he also say something in an interview in the DBox Movies booklet, about how Brolli was used three times because "He's the strongest of all and nobody can surpass him, even in the manga"?
Q: Why did Broli come back three times?
A: Because he's the strongest. (laughs) Even including the TV anime, nobody exists in the world who’s stronger than Broli. I mean, even Vegeta, Prince of the Saiyans, was trembling in fear. (laughs) that there's no way that kind of mightiest being would die in a single outing. After all, there were kids who cried at Broli's overwhelming strength when they saw Burn Out!! […] at Shueisha's preview screening. (laughs) It's always difficult coming up with an enemy for Goku, because I'd constantly have to escalate their strength. So, he ended up appearing three times.
This is true of Broli as well, but Goku & co. are always fighting against "an unbeatable foe". Goku must win against such an enemy, so he has no choice but to defeat him when his enemy becomes overconfident and creates an opening. There's absolutely no way he’d be able to win against someone like Broli if he used more orthodox methods. (laughs)
Anyway, I'm just still totally confused why anyone would think Broli is coming back. On top of that, I'm utterly baffled why it's popping up everywhere on the internet: YouTube, ANN, Twitter, Facebook, and other message boards. I must have a completely different thought process then...
soulnova wrote:Any ideas on who they want to revive?
There seem to be lots of ideas flying around, but in my honest opinion, it's going to be someone we've never seen before. Possibly someone we've heard about previously, either in the manga or Battle of Gods, but definitely someone we've never actually seen. Also, I think others have pointed it out already, but we have no idea who is making the wish. I've seen lots of people saying emphatically that it's Goku making the wish, but I really don't think it is. I believe there's a reason they used text for that line in the teaser instead of it being spoken, besides the fact that I'm pretty sure no one else has recorded their lines yet.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
I wanna see Goku just straight up wish for "the strongest being to ever live in any universe" to be revived and brought to him to fight.

I doubt it means much. No one's going to have those sorts of details this early.

And Vegeta wishes Nappa back to life just to kill his ass again. But something goes wrong. He misworded it and wishes the entire Saiyan race back.
Well, I think this more or less confirms that Vegeta is the lead role in the story, like Toriyama hinted.

I'm going to say the opposite and say that I think it doesn't prove anything and should be taken with a grain of salt. It's a retailer, not anyone that's actually close to production. They could be going off the same rumors we are.

It's clearly just someone who's read Toriyama's off-hand comments about wanting to focus on Vegeta and attached it to the recent news. Nothing more than rumour harbouring.
