[/spoiler]What? Did I hear that they've only recently started dubbing the Universe 6 arc. This has to be an error unless, they've been secretly dubbing far later into Super than we assumed.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Sorry for the double post but....

The only thing that tells me it might not be an error is the timing actually coincides. But yeah I am fairly sure it isLord Beerus wrote:What? Look on the simuldubs page. One Piece & DBS are listed towards the bottom.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:Simulcat is 8.30pm they can't get both wrong lol... I am still holding out on the 1% chance this is legit till FUNi respond!DBZ_Lee wrote:They mean simulcast. Damn it, you tease Funi!.
But ultimately I think your right!
With regards to One Piece in particular, the subject of a simuldub actually came up in an interview the One Piece Podcast did with Mike McFarland and Joel McDonald (the two main ADR directors for the series dub) a couple of years ago, shortly after Funimation started doing the whole simuldub thing. While they were wary of saying anything definitive on the subject, the general vibe was that it would be a complete logistical nightmare to actually try to do for a series like One Piece in the time-frame allowed by that sort of production.Scsigs wrote:Look on the simuldubs page. For Sean, I'd imagine they're fast tracking his recordings. He's most likely recorded all of Goku & King Kai's dialogue already for the first 2 arcs at least & if they're simuldubbing the series to fast track its airing & dubbing, they most likely have Toei sending them finished episodes for their translators to translate for the simulcasts, then work on the scripts, then Sabat has them dubbing it as soon as possible. This means they could be passed Resurrection F already & may be on the Future Trunks stuff.
As For One Piece, not a lot of the main voice cast work on both at the same times, so they'd just need to divide & conquer, if not do one show with an actor in the morning & do the other one with the same actor later in the day so they can rest their voice.
Then again, this could be me & wishful thinking here. Frankly, the new site layout's kinda stupid for them, so who knows, really.
Well I can't speak for anyone else, but I've been enjoying Super more dubbed and I do prefer dub over sub for Dragon Ball overall.NintendoBlaze53 wrote:Some people have taken people saying they're enjoying Super more dubbed out of context and thinking the prefer the dub over sub.
For me I prefer the Japanese versions of original Dragon Ball, Z, GT and the pre-Battle of Gods movies. For everything after that Funimation dub is the way to go.Dbzfan94 wrote:Well I can't speak for anyone else, but I've been enjoying Super more dubbed and I do prefer dub over sub for Dragon Ball overall.NintendoBlaze53 wrote:Some people have taken people saying they're enjoying Super more dubbed out of context and thinking the prefer the dub over sub.
I'm kinda like this. Though, I personally prefer the Pioneer dubs of three Z movies over their original audio counterparts.Dragon Ball Ireland wrote: For me I prefer the Japanese versions of original Dragon Ball, Z, GT and the pre-Battle of Gods movies. I can second this opinion, but... it's more like I'm actually interested enough in the dub to rewatch the recent movies, Kai and Super. I will always prefer the original version, but hearing the show in English with close to nothing lost in translation is an absolute delight. Watching Battle of Gods in a packed theater was something I'll never forget.Bansho64 wrote:I'm kinda like this. I'll watch things subbed if I have to. I just prefer an accurate, good dub if I can watch that. Where the "out of context" thing has been coming from is the fact that everyone's saying either the line changes, whether good or not, are warranted, or wanted, & if some of the casting choices are good, or not. I, personally, don't mind some of the castings as long as the voice fits, or is bearable, or line changes as long as they're minimal. Luckily, we don't get a lot of those nowadays.Dbzfan94 wrote:Well I can't speak for anyone else, but I've been enjoying Super more dubbed and I do prefer dub over sub for Dragon Ball overall.NintendoBlaze53 wrote:Some people have taken people saying they're enjoying Super more dubbed out of context and thinking the prefer the dub over sub.

Like: "How Dare You Do That to My Bulma? Vegeta's Furious Transformation!"
It wouldn't be the first time we've had a weird title like that, though.
