I thought you were talking about the Goku combo. And tbh that's a pretty basic attack. You could put a Raging Blast video and it would be a basic dash hit etc. But they could be trying to truly emulate the show so we will see.
Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE" (PS4/XB1/PS3/360) Official Threa
I hope they at least include some GT in this. And not randomly throw in SS4 Gogeta without SS4 Goku and Vegeta like UT did. B3 and IW had GT and the last several games actually feel like they could have benefited from it. Hopefully they do DB too.

Could the clock that was ticking from the announcement trailer from Zenoverse be the one from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-4IXSTWB_w
In which case it would mean both, Adult Goten, and Adult Gotenks could be playable characters?

To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about the fans a re-issue might alienate because if all they're concerned about is being able to scalp the people who were either unaware of the Dragon Boxes or couldn't afford them at the time, they're just leeches and deserve to have their greed backfire on them.

My fellow forum-goers, it seems the dark ages may finally be at an end! DBZ games might once again be making a comeback, and with DIMPS at its forefront.
My current optimism is unusual as of the past couple years, since Ultimate Tenkaichi I've more or less given up on Dragon Ball games entirely, moving on with my life and leaving DB gaming behind. Even with the initial piquing of my interest learning of DIMPS' comeback, watching the trailer I was left unimpressed and cynical. It was only after watching the gameplay video did hope begin to surface. I mean, did you see those little details?! You can finally bloody run on the ground, actually dash about quickly and even do little flips when you jump rather than a robotic and retarded looking 'hop'. As of the actual combat it's difficult to say at current, although I'm confident knowing that DIMPS is developing this.
Guys, this could be the series we've been waiting for, the 3D open arena style might actually finally be done justice. I know a lot of you actually like the Tenkaichi and RB games, but you have to admit that for a 3D "simulator" those games had their obvious flaws; I'm talking fluidity and authenticity of movement in particular. What Spike has failed to do over 5 3D open arena styled titles DIMPS looks to be getting right on their FIRST time.
This could be it DBZ fans, this could be it. And all it took was for Spike to give it a rest and let DIMPS take care of the job. Its been a long winter, comrades, now hopefully a long summer awaits.

As good as it is so far, I think the animations in Xeno could be a tad faster. Burst limit still looks a smidge more responsive but not by much. What I hope for is the same degree of teleports counter-chains that could be done in Burst limit. They were fun.Rukura wrote:So, for the sake of showing how Xenoverse seems to be bringing in the best parts of previous games, I thought I'd go through the trailer (and demo gameplay) and compare the trailer footage to elements found in other fan favorite Dragon Ball games. And maybe compile them in one video or something.
One thing I found through the Goku vs Freeza gameplay portion of the trailer was...the exact same combo being performed in Burst Limit. I mean that as a good thing.s

If that's all you want, then all you want is fanservice, rather than an actual coherent story. And of course those aren't mutually exclusive; you could have a coherent story with "shine" moments! But if a story is perfectly coherent (and I'm really not seeing any compelling arguments that this one is anything but, despite constantly recurring, really poorly reasoned, attempts to argue otherwise), and you're bemoaning the lack of "shine" moments as a reason for the story's poor quality, then you're letting your thirst for "shine" moments obfuscate your ability to detect basic storytelling when it's right in front of you.

No, it is not. It is not canonical when it is officially declared so.Hellspawn28 wrote: If it's never mention or brought up then it's not canon. That's how things works. For example, the older Star Trek movies before 2009 never mention the events of Star Trek V which is why fans don't view it as canon.

I hope that Dimps allows us to pick transformations this time.

Like i had stated earlier and Drev just pointed out, Battle of Z (regardless of opinions for or against the game) has the merit of characters playing differently, having strengths or weaknesses that specifically pull them apart from the rest with given purpose. There may be other Dragon Ball games like this but i happen not to be aware of any specifically that come to mind with such a diverse separation of character's individual purpose.Drev wrote:not battle of zTheGmGoken wrote:Am I the only one who thinks all fighting games play the same no matter what character

Not sure what your definition of "same" is then; beyond Ken and Akuma being derivatives of Ryu Street Fighter characters are distinct in reach, attack duraction, etc. Chun-Li and Dudley certainly don't have the same neutral punches!TheGmGoken wrote:I got both of those games. Or another obvious one; Soul Calibur. You could get away with that with the light-weapon characters, Asteroth is in his own world, but throw Ivy or Cervantes into the loadout? Nope.

Attack range are different in most Dbz games and even the duration. The neutral punches aren't the same. Care to expand more? I love Soul Calibur. I honestly think most characters play the same. I mean how would you rate Super Smash games. Hell I owner all Tekken and they play the same

I would like the fantasy forms of Buu to come back. He could absorb:
Piccolo
SSj3 Gotenks
Mystic Gohan
SSj Vegito
Final Form Freeza and Super Perfect Cell (Why absorb one when you get two at once)
LSSj Broli
Final Form Janemba
