I was reading the comments on the site and people are saying that Cell Jr will be disqualified because he didn't touch the ground first before striking. The Rules: http://www.dragonball-multiverse.com/en/page-72.html

Cell Jr. attacked Gast without stand on ring, so he`s disqualified.

Oh shit, don't tell me that Cell Jr. is stronger than Gast and gets DQ!
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Haha. That's brilliant. Cell Jr. is an idiot.

I don't think he's strong than Gast. For all we know Gast got hit on purpose.

Or was just taken by surprise since he didn't expect an attack before the match started. A punch doesn't have to be strong enough to hurt Gast to knock him down. It only has to be strong enough to move his mass if he wasn't braced to tank it.

Also, just for the record, I'm always slightly bothered when we see Gohan, Goten, Trunks, or Piccolo in a panel with no other context because I can never tell whether it's U18 or U16. I always tend to assume it's U18 unless told otherwise. But maybe that's a mistake.

I had a feeling this would happen. Not surprise that he is going to be disqualified, the Cell Jr got too carry away.

Cell Jr. attacked someone on the ground, however Gart is seen flying towards the planet before. Besides Gart wears a white cape?

He clearly hit the right one. On page 483 we see Cell Jr. flying upwards towards the arena. Someone must have forgotten to color his cape thing on page 481.

Interesting twist. Unexpected and it's also a way to keep Gast's power a secret for a little longer.

I don't think Cell Jr would have won anyways. I remember reading that Gast defeated Cell and Buu in his own universe unless Cell and Buu in his universe are much weaker somehow.

When I saw Cell Jr flying towards Gast without touching the ground, I was expecting for Gast to go "stop" like in Bardock's vision and point out that Cell Jr needs to touch the ground.

Would have been awesome.

But this Cell is 27 years older than the Cell we know from DBZ. He has the genes of Goku & Vegeta, and from various hints, he was training all those years (and terrorising the universe), so I expect him to be at least in SSJ3 level.

But back in the beginning it was analyzed by Piccolo and Gohan that Cell had not changed all that much in power from the Cell Games up until the Multiverse Tournament.

If something is truly perfect, that's IT! The bottom line becomes there is no room for imagination! No space for intelligence or ability or improvement! Do you understand? And Cell said something akin to "Good, I managed to keep my power to around my Cell Games level" while fighting Dabra. (To lazy to look up the exact quote.) So Cell is clearly stronger, he just doesn't want everyone else to know by how much.

Honestly I'm not putting Cell any higher than Majin Vegeta or evil Fat Boo.

EDIT: He also has the genes of Freeza which could mean that he probably was thinking there was no need for him to train since there was no one in the universe to oppose him for a along time, until he started to get extreamly bored thus leading him to start training or start killing himself over and over.
