I have completely lost track of this thread. Has anyone (namely Kei) posted a summary of sorts?

Or they do have an opening & ending theme but they are gonna use them only when the official premiere takes place
( 30.3.2013 ) and in the Dvd version as well .
I honestly reckon it makes the film more cinematic if it doesn't have an opening. If Battle of Gods had a standard opening animation then it would probably feel more like a TV special.

I never liked the openings infront of any of the movies, it felt like it was just there to make the movies longer.

Well, he did post this bulletized summary of part 1 earlier.
He said he will send a detailed summary to the Kanzenshuu staff for them to work on and then post on the main site eventually.

I hope it's not the one Julian translated...he actually had to pay for that thing.

EDIT:

Hmmmm....

EDIT 2: Nope, think it's a new interview.

Openings are for TV series (and they are more and more replaced by simple title cards).
Movies don't have one, not live-action movies, and not animated movies like Pixar and Disney and others either.
People at the cinema are not here to spend minutes hearing a song while watching what looks like an animated music video that doesn't make the plot move on.

For the new opening, head for the upcoming Dragon Ball Kai, not Battle of Gods. 8)

I am trying soooo hard not to ruin the plot but I can't stop looking in this thread because I wannnnna see the moviiieee hahaha

Also, regarding the theme... I don't see what the big deal is. Movie 13 felt more theatrical without one and how many movies do you go see that have a theme before the movie?

Kei what is the level of power shown by Goku and Bills' fight, like how big are the explosions and do they destroy anything?

He won't answer that. Not only he has already said that he won't answer on any other power-related question, he also said that he won't give any other answer about the story because his detailed synopsis is coming.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

What a strange decision not to make these images life size. You can get the same effect here by going home and posing next to an action figure.

I know the combination attack itself isn't in the movie, but is Goku's new Kamehameha based on one from the film?
Just bumping this again because I'm a bit more than curious if they just made up the attack or if it's inspired from the film...

Guess that was an anime scene. Still hes nowhere to be scene 17 years later.
I don't remember that from the anime either. What episode is that said in? Is it part of the original dialogue or something from the Funi dub?

Well I just checked in the special, nothing there. It has to be in the anime.
