Raditz's body

Post by Herms » Sat Oct 23, 2004 10:16 pm

Whatever happened to it? They have that scene where Bulma gets Kuririn to remove the scouter off of the body. Then they switch to a scene of Goku in the afterlife. The next you see of Bulma, Roshi, and Kuririn, they’re in a plane flying off somewhere. And you never, ever see Raditz again.

They never show a burial. Did they just leave his body out there, just laying there in the middle of nowhere? That seems kind of disrespectful. You know, I’d hate to be a hiker or something out for a walk and to come across that.

He tried to exterminate everything on planet Earth... how's that for disrespectful? Would you hold a memorial service for Osama Bin Laden? I think NOT!

Even so, leaving him to just sit out there in the open and rot seems really creepy.

Maybe Krillin or Old Man Roshi destroyed it just for the sake of getting rid of it.

I doubt either Kuririn or Muten Roshi vaporised Raditz's body, Kuririn didn't even want to get near him after he was killed. It would seem they really did just leave him out to rot. I don't think anyone really cared what happened to him after that.

Actually, I don't think Raditz is particularly popular with farmers.

What's hilarious is the last time the dead Raditz is shown. I'm not too sure about the dub or the original Japanese version, but the last time he is seen in the French dub is in an overhead shot. This is the part where Piccolo is talking about taking Gohan with the others. What is hilarious about this scene is that as they are talking, Raditz's dead carcass is just lying there at the top-left hand corner of the screen (being completely ignored).
EDIT: This is the picture.

He rolled over. Neither of them died instantly.

Really? i asumed that you were likely to die if you've been shot straight through the heart, lol just joking, but i would imagine Raditz was in too much pain to move himself, i guess that the others moved him out the way to carry gokus corpse out from underneath.

Actually, Raditz fell face first and Goku landed on his back several yards away. Don't ask me. Oh, and Sheron, you really should watch your grammar a bit more. It's "I" not "i".

Actually, Goku didn't really have much of a corpse... After his dialogue, he faded away.

Oh yeah because Goku can take his body to the otherworld thats how he trained with King Kai. Sorry guys I think I should pay more attention to the earlier episodes.

Well, actually Kami-sama took his body to the Afterlife so he could stay in a physical form (in order to train). It's not like it was something Goku was able to do himself... it required divine intervention. :)

How did Kami do that? And how did they do it when Piccolo merged with kami? And did Kami transport Yamcha's body and Chaoutzu's body even though they were blown to bits! :?

Yamcha's body was not blown to bits. You don't see any of the bodies again in the original FUNimation dub, but with the exception of Chao-zu, they've all got dead bodies lying on the ground.

Another thing you don't see in the dub is the fact that Kuririn and Bulma & Co. go pick up all the bodies (well, you don't see them PICK UP the bodies, but that's what they're doing; they put them all in the back of the plane). Chao-zu did indeed have to have a new body created for him after being brought back to life. Porunga and Shenlon typically don't have much of a problem throwing in the freebie for that ^^.

That explains everything, its a cartoon about Dragons that can grant powerful wishes, and people who are thousands times more powerful than most average humans.

Curse me for thinking it was real. 8)

Yea, well, of course they didn't touch it. Even a dead Radditz body has the force of, I'm estimating, 80,000 racoons. Yea, you run weaklings, he'll be back...In Video Game Form! MWAHAHAHAhoooo...
