Dragonball in Little Big Planet

Post by Anonymous Friend » Wed Apr 08, 2009 7:12 pm

Was at a friends house and trying other people's levels. This on had a lot of Marvel and Star Wars character parts and there was even some Dragonball thrown in.

The person who created it was called Hanzaemon and the level was called Free Costume Stickers.

I hate LBP. I played it for a couple days or so and quickly discovered how boring it is. It reminds me of Super Mario Galaxy without the fun, "story", or depth. It's a platformer without any challenge. All the user-created levels play the same (or at least the ones I played) and the "story mode" (it's not a story mode because it has no story, but I don't know what else to call it) is just tedious. Collecting stickers isn't fun, it's boring.

The DBZ level LOOKS cute, but I bet it's just a basic run away from the swinging platform (in this case Oozaru) and jump on a button to hurt it. Or something similar.
If challenge had a taste, you'd be quite delicious.

It doesn't matter that there's a DBZ level, because the Nazi mods will take it down...

I also fail to understand what the hell is so appealing about this game.

Same here. The only thing I will say that I love is just the creativity of levels and recreation of certain media/events... in this case, DBZ. Outside of that, though... gameplay doesn't really seem too great. But I can't truly judge, since I haven't played the game fully yet.

Yeah, I'd say the modding, for lack of a better term, is the only real thing the game has going for it, and even that is limited to what Sony wants you to play.

Yep. I think I'm just fine playing my beloved TekkenDR.

This is what the beginning of my level looks like:
Image

It's pretty much done. Does anybody want to test it out? I've just got to do some finishing touches on it.

OMG ... I thought I recognized the screen name of that friend request. I added you but I'm rarely online ... and don't actually own the game myself. I'll have my friend add you as he plays it a lot, his PSN is LatentPotential. If I end over at his place this weekend, we may give it a go after we finish off Prince of Persia.

Is it possible to create a level based on the inside of Buu's body? That might be fun. I want to see Sackboy jump across cakes to avoid stomach acid!

Awesome level! I tried making one myself but I got frustrated and gave up. I don't understand all the hate for this game in this thread. The game is fun as hell and when my friends and I play we just have a blast.

Next time I play I will look up this level and give it a try. Seems like a lot of fun. Also look like a lot of effort was put into it.

I was thinking about having 7 dragonball shaped objects with huge point orb(things). Did you do something like that in your level?
...Wait what are you doing? Are you still reading this? I finished what I had to say, why don't you move on to the next post?
