So...would this mean Pioneer gets DBZ...again ?

Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

So...would this mean Pioneer gets DBZ...again ?

This shouldn't really pertain to the DB series right? Then again if they mean they have the distributing rights to ALL Toei productions then I guess it does. Also if it means that Geneon is an exclusive distributor to Toei productions then what about FUNimation's DBZ Movies 10 and on?

Geneon = Pioneer's new name (btw)

HOLY CRAP! SLAM DUNK! w00t!

Errmm...ahem..., you should of read it better, but they basically acquired three new titles to distribute in the U.S - Air Master, Interlude and Slam Dunk (woot!)

Besides, Genon doesnt have the distribution rights to DBZ anymore, those expired like a year ago. Funimation has the distribution rights to all of DBZ as of then.

They had to get Slam Dunk. I only had 3 episodes left. Well, I have for about a year or something... Well, I guess this is better. I can just rent the last DVD, probably.

Also, I remember some news about FUNimation and Geneon and some other company merging...? Or... I don't know. From ANN. That was a short while ago. What was that about, if anybody knows?

They are working together to expand the anime industry... in no way are they merging.

For the time being. Apparently, this is a deal where Geneon has first dibs for all Toei shows not currently licensed. So here's to hoping we get Galaxy Express 999 TV or maybe even some Dr. Slump later on down the road.

I think so. No doubt about it, this is a sweet deal for Toei fans.

Too bad it was already too late for One Piece

Oh well, maybe Genon can get us some Uncut Digimon.
