Rare? DBZ Movie 7 CM at the end of FUNI Movie 6 DVD

Post by Kienzan88gt » Mon Jun 15, 2009 11:14 am

Hey guys, I just recently bought Movie 5 and 6 on DVD, and I was watching Movie 6 in Japanese. After the movie ended, instead of going back to the menu, it went into a 24 second clip of Son Goku talking about the latest movie at the time, Movie 7: Super Android 13, or Extreme Battle!! The Three Super Saiyans. I uploaded it on youtube, if this has been discussed about before then I'm sorry, I never knew FUNI had this with the DVD. Oh and it's Japanese only, no English audio for this clip.

I'm very happy with this, since FUNI never puts these rare Japanese ads or commercials on their DBZ DVDs xD.

Damn, that's sweet!

Props to Funi for putting the original Movie 7 teaser in with Movie 6! 8)

(That could be counted as a special feature) :D Wait, why didn't anyone post this up before? :? I'm sure a lot of members here have Movie 6, so if they saw the Japanese version of the movie, and this teaser came right after, wouldn't they have posted? I know I would have! :o
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

List of Anime I own or have watched - http://myanimelist.net/animelist/SSJ3Goku

I've certainly seen it referenced here before. It isn't that no one else knew about it, it's just that the original FUNi single of movie six was released nearly seven years ago (in August of 2002, according to the DVD guide). It's... Kind of old news at this point.

Erm... At any rate, I was really surprised the first time I saw it, too. It's a shame they didn't keep it on the "remastered" re-release. I still have my original, though, so I guess it isn't a huge loss.

That was a really randomly awesome thing for FUNi to do, though.

It's been known for ages, and I assume nearly everyone here who owns Movie 6 on DVD have watched it in Japanese and seen this clip.

Wow, I remember borrowing a copy from my friend when the disc first came out, but I have no memory of this. Nice find, but kinda sucks that I now have one point to further split myself on whether or not I should get the single releases or the steel cases :/...

But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.

Exactly lol, I'm just glad that I can have a small taste of how Dragon Box fans feel with their movie and tv special teaser trailers xD.

It's not just Funimation that does stuff like that. Teen Titans season 3 has a special easter egg, while season 1 doesn't have any at all.

Wow, that's really something, I thought only the US verison had it, but I guess Toei left it in as a easter egg for everyone, perhaps? Oh well, either way it's awesome and I'm glad I have the DVD with it ^^.

I miss my old Vhs Fansub's , where the endings of the series would preview the upcoming movie with a character describing it and the famous " GO SEE IT " at the end of the preview!
