Is it possible that Super Saiyan transformations...

Post by IncredibleGuy » Tue Nov 16, 2004 1:41 am

Is it possible that Super Saiyan transformations merely add to a person's current power level, instead of multiplying it like most believe? Specifically, is there any evidence that states this could not be possible.

Well, the only SSj transformation that has canon power levels is Goku on Namek.

Normal Goku - 300,000
SSj Goku - 15,000,000

That seems like too big of a gap to be just addition.

Thanks for the info, I never knew there were canon powerlevel/s for SS Goku.

By the way, is that reading for normal Goku with or without his Kaio-ken activated?

Those are the Daizenshuu power levels, so they're not 100% accurate, but...

Goku: 300,000
Goku Kaio-Ken x10: 3,000,000
Goku Kaio-Ken x20: 6,000,000
Goku SSJ: 15,000,000
Freeza 100% Final Form: 12,000,000

Yeah, they're kinda...meh. A 3,000,000 gap? Right...

Could be why SSj Goku was so confident he could thrash Freeza.

They were pretty close in power, Goku probably had a advantage on 1,000,000 or so. The Daiz is wrong on a lot of things.

Freeza form 2: 1,000,000
Piccolo 800,000

Yeah, ummm, Piccolo (W/O weighted clothing)>Freeza form 2 (Powered up)>Piccolo (Weighted clothing)>Freeza form 2

Freeza's form 2 (before powering up) was at 1,000,000, and Piccolo with his weights was stronger, so WTF?

Perhaps it just adds to it, but so greatly that it seems like multiplying...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think 800,000 was just Planet Namek's level. The Daiz lists Nail-Piccolo as "over 1,000,000" so they finally got something right.

Nah, I've never been to Planet Namek, so there is no way I would know that. I'm positive it was 800,000.

Powerlevels are just frikkin annoying. Thank god they got rid of them after the Freeza saga.

Sup Chibi, nice to see ya.

Up until recently, MFG Forums didn't allow Links...

At any rate, does anyone have comment on my thoughts posted in that link?

...Dup?

Anyway, thanks. I've had only a few people argue against that so far...but I really shouldn't have been so inconclusive in explaining Goku's Base.

Agreed, it's a good editorial. I've had to come to the same conclusion myself when trying to make power level charts. Using x50 for every Super Saiyan trans. gives some really odd numbers.

Trust me, my friend, you don't have to have been to PN to know that. PN vies with Saiyanz Pride for the title of "Most Copied Power Level List." Thousands of sites have that number down, some of them actually respectable.

But, just to make sure I'm not being a stubborn ass, can someone here with the respective Daiz solve this little quandary?

What a wonderful way to end a topic.

Seriously, I find it saddening that the PN list or whatever is used at all, it has Chao Gohan less than Twice as strong as SS2 Cell Games Gohan. Very retarded.
