Have you introduced kids to DB?

I got the kids I babysit in when Ultimate Uncut was on TV. Good times... :(

I am going to force my children to watch Dragon Ball. It doesn't matter if they hate it:

YOU'RE GONNA WATCH IT, AND YOUR GONNA LIKE IT.

I'm going to be a great father.

I introduced Vegeta's flashback when he first became Super Saiyan when I was 12 years old. Get it? The kid introduced to the kids?

I hate kids, and I will never have any.

I won't let them have the pleasure of knowing about Dragon Ball.
EDIT: Not serious

*Vaguely wonders what shape her manga will be in by that the time said hypothetical children would be old enough to read it*.

Probably. Relatives have introduced or at least told me about TV shows they used to watch when they were younger.

Haha. I kid. (great pun!)
Although, I won't have any kids... I don't want the responsibility! (and I don't like babies...)

I'm finding it really hard to imagine how aged the series is gonna look when I have children, in 15 or 20 years time. Dragon Ball just turned 25...... it will be nearing 50!

Well, this has started drifting off-topic fast...

Anyway, I have whatched some stuff with my cousins (including a live episode of Kai, recently) and of course, they love it, but it will be interesting to see if I can keep them interested in it, and maybe create some long-term, serious fans.

Don't get me wrong. I don't hate babies, but I don't really think they are cute, and I don't gravitate towards them. I am just not fond of them. I guess it is just my experiences throughout life.

I like kittens though! :P

I think the manga itself will age well, I do kinda worry about the anime though.

I've never noticed age being too much of a factor when introducing things to kids. I know a kid who played Secret of Monkey Island all the way through, no questions asked, who also had a ton of games on the PS2. In fact, I didn't even introduce it to him, really. I just happened to be playing it nearby, and he said "What is that? Can I try?"

I think when you're a kid, a toy is a toy and a game is a game, and things like resolutions and graphic fidelity just don't really come into play.

And I think with age comes a certain charm.

And I haven't really introduced Dragon Ball to any kids. I've introduced it to the *same* generation, if that counts at all, but not a *younger* one.

I don't think they would handle Bee getting shot very well. :(

This thread has derailed very fast.

I'm sorry! It's my fault; my... different sense of humor is to blame.

Well, if I ever see any yungin's that are interested in anime, but don't know of Dragon Ball, then I would recommend they check it out.

My little sister saw me editing some pages and asked what it was, so I gave her the first volume to read. She said it was okay, but didn't show any interest in reading the rest.
