Namekian Questions

Dragon Clan Question;
Supposedly only those of the Dragon Clan can make dragonballs, and do all kinds of mystical shit.
What makes a namekian part of this clan, and can they still be fighters/healers, or are they BOTH?

and, in the Funi dub of Lord Slug, that aired on CN.
Sluggy said that the Ancient Namekians found a way to get ultimate power, and were called 'Super namekians' (This name is later revisited to address Piccolo after fusing with Kami)
Was this mentioned in the Japanese version, and do you think the way to get ultimate power and become a 'Super Namekian' to fuse with other namekians?

1. No. Dende and Piccolo stated in manga and anime that they cannot be both. Be a healer or be a fighter. That's it. I don't think I have a proper volume to provide the evidence.

2. Apparently so. When fusing with another Namekian, he gets a huge power-up. Technically, when Kami and Piccolo were fused, Piccolo isn't Super Namekian since they were originally one entity. But when Nail fused with Piccolo, he became Super Namekian.. I guess?

I think Super Namekian just refers to a level of strength. He's a Namekian with power beyond the limits of a normal Namekian.

Namekians are born as either Warrior-type Namekians or Dragon Clan Namekians. Dragon Clan Namekians can still fight and be quite strong (like Kami), but they're not as powerful as Warrior-type Namekians. Warrior-type Namekians can't heal like Dende can though (Dende tells Piccolo this when they're on Earth at the end of the Freeza arc).

No. In the Japanese version, Kaio is the only one to use the phrase "Super Namekian", if I remember right.

So this makes the younger Namekians appearing to fight Freeza and the end of volume 5/beginning of volume 6 strong Dragon Clan Namekians?

Didn't Nail say he was the only warrior type on the planet though?

Well, I guess he could have meant he was the last left alive.

In volume 30 of my Viz copy, Kuririn uses the term Super Namekian when telling everyone that Piccolo is probably planning to fuse with Kami. I have no idea if that's in the Japanese version, of course.

Lord Slug in the original was sent off from Planet Namek before the disaster that occurred in there.
Because he was born with a mutation he was pure evil and very strong. That explanation above is dub bullshit.
