Dragon Ball Z BGM Identification!

Post by Thanos » Thu Jul 23, 2009 2:25 am

I was rewatching some DBZ, and I just noticed the BGM that played while Piccolo prepared the Gekiretsu Kodan. Can anyone tell me the name of it? I've been searching high and low for it, but I can't figure out what it's called. Help anyone?

I just have to know because I'm loving it a lot. It just captures the essence of DBZ fights so perfectly.

This particular track is used a LOT in the series-- I'm actually really surprised you can't identify it yourself. They over-used it to the point of redundancy during the Cell stuff.

The track can be found on the 5 disc Dragonball and Dragonball Z music collection.

Disc 4

Track #16: The Death-Summoning Cell Games

The particular tune you are referencing begins at 3:30 seconds in. (The tracks on this collection have multiple tunes crammed into one 'title'.) The clip you give as an example is the very end bit.

I agree, it's a great BGM. The creators of the show clearly thought so, too.
