Question regarding a Japanese vocal in the Dragonball series

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Question regarding a Japanese vocal in the Dragonball series

Post by Dark Vegeta-Sama » Thu Nov 18, 2004 11:21 pm

In episode 28 of Dragonball, these is a Japanese vocal theme, "Mezase Tenka-ichi" that plays during the fight between Goku and Jackie Chun. Unfortunately, it was removed from the english dub.

As I understand it, this vocal plays again during the 22nd tournament, approximately 70 episodes later, and that it was actually kept in the english dub this time. What is the exact episode number, so that I can look for it?

It plays in Episode 86, during the preliminary bouts.

It also played in Episode 95, during Gokuu and Kuririn's match, but they didn't keep it in the dub there.

I think they played all of the image songs in the dub. They just cut them short by a couple minutes.

Nah, there were some that just weren't there, for some reason. "Fushigi Wonderland" comes to mind.

Fushigi Wonderland played in the filler with Namu and Giran at the beginning of the Red Ribbon saga.

All the lyrical songs were cut from Blue Water's dub.

Unless there is one at the very end which they might leave in
Where's the beef?

But it was taken out of the FUNi dub.

Off the top of my head, these are the songs that FUNimation left in:

65 - Moeru Heart de ~ Red Ribbon Gun o Yattsukero
76 - Dragon Ball Densetsu
78 - Aoki Tabibitotachi
86 - Mezase Tenkaichi

After that, they started cutting out the image songs again. I was very disappointed to not hear Wolf Hurricane in 87.

Right, I read the post as "I think they played all of the image songs in the anime. They just cut them short by a couple minutes.", thus Julians post said that they didn't use all of them (which was right), and that Fushigi Wonderland was one of those that weren't used (which is wrong).

Sorry.
