Chuck Huber--Freeza?
Chuck Huber--Freeza?
Who thinks Chuck Huber (Artificial Human/Android No. 17) would make a good Freeza? I think he sounds a lot like Ryusei Nakao, and he's very good with "evil, quiet psycho" roles. Thoughts?

Chuck Is Good For Jinzōningen #17, But I Don't See Him As Freeza, At All. Linda Young Has Done A Good Job For Freeza Over the Years/ I Can't See Anyone Else Portraying Him, Other Than Nakao.

Chuck doesn't have much variation from character to character. No offense to the guy, he's a great actor, but you can always tell it is him. If he did Freeza than he wouldn't be able to do Android 17. I dunno, I always though his casting as Android 17 was perfect. I don't really know who I'd pick to be Freeza, but it wouldn't be Chuck Huber.

17 was one of the few dub voices that I really enjoyed, yeah the script was bad and the delivery was pretty lacking (in the beginning) but I feel they at least went the right direction.
As for him voicing Freeza, anything is better than Linda Young, the character voice is just flat out awful and the delivery would be comical if it wasn't so painful to endure.

Chuck Huber might be a good choise... But I think Freeza might need a "Noble-esque" sound, like a British accent... like his father...
But...
I think the best voice for Freeza...
would be the voice of this guy

That's right. I say Frank Welker IS the best voice for Freeza. EVER!!

Because that's what you're used to. I think we're talking about if he did it from the beginning.Amigo Ten wrote:I would. That just is Freeza's voice for me. Anything else sounds wrong.
I wasn't sure at first, but when you think about it.. yeah, Chuck could've actually done a really nice job with Freeza.
I just don't know what they hell they were doing with Young, seriously. That voice is just like a drill in my ear.
It's always funny to see her try and upstage Schemmel in Burst Limit.
