Would ANYONE be interested in the VHS?

Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

Would ANYONE be interested in the VHS?

Post by LeprikanGT » Sun Aug 09, 2009 2:39 pm

I've got all of Dragonball Z on VHS [aside from the Cell Games Saga] all uncut versions.....& All of GT [except for the 'lost episodes']

I know its probably silly to ask; but would anyone like to toss out an offer for them? I really want to sell them but dont want to go through all the ebay or Craigs list trouble since THIS is where dbz fans are.

I can supply pics...and I already have a youtube vid of them.

Thanks in advance to anyone.

Don't you think VCR system is getting really old? I have already have many VHS tapes but I won't sell them because I knew nobody would buy them.

Well.... since I'm basically broke, I'll take them for nothin' if you can't get rid of them. And if want to, of course.

I still have some of the VHS box sets, and almost all of GT (except the Lost Episodes, also lol). I have the Saiyan Conflict, Freeza Saga (Edited), Androids Saga, and Kid Buu Saga. And movies 4, 5, and 6.

I was actually planning on watching a few of the movies in a couple of weeks when I go somewhere with a VCR. (Ours died lol).

The only VHS movie I have is the Trunks special beacuase it fits in the uncut boxset of the Trunks Saga.

I was quite particular with getting all the uncut boxsets.

just for fun; heres what they look like

Why am I strangely interested in buying these?

That's a pretty sweet collection.

If it weren't for Dragon Boxes coming out, I think I would be in an envious rage right about now, but I'm surprisingly unaffected. :? I always wondered what ALL of that would look like all lined up to each other. Thank you for answering that for me.

But yeah, whatever you can't get rid of, I'll take off your hands.

I'm interested, but only because I like the spine artwork-- I would never actually watch them.

This is something I wouldn't bother spending a lot on, though. Of course, factor in the cost of shipping. I would throw out a number, but I don't want to possibly offend you with what I consider to be fair.

How much are you looking to get? Also, I would only purchase as a one-shot deal, i.e. all the sagas together.

Edit:

Please PM me so we can work out the details. I want these.

yeah I was looking to sell them ALL at once.

Doesnt UPS have that flat shipping for anything under 70 pounds? not Sure how much the flat rate is but I guess it wouldnt matter how far away you live [From South Carolina] and its 107-ish so I'm sure its less that 70 lbs.

They are literally just sitting there since I bought them over a year ago so if anyone DOES want to toss out a number; send me a PM or just post it I guess. Cant get offended if I'm openly asking people what they think.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I wouldn't say VHS got too old too fast. It was available for about 20 years before it was really phased out. For a format, that's nearly unheard of these days.

I like the first and second spine arts. I've seen the first one at a local used games and movies store for $10 or $15.

DVD's been around since ~1997, so I'm not sure I'd call it a new system per se. Wouldn't it be more like "VHS=ancient system, DVD=old system, BD=new system"?

Both have the same format. You know what I meant by my first post.

The uncut Frieza one is the best cover IMO. [SS Goku chopping the back of Freeza's Neck with 3rd form Frieza and Piccolo in the background] Which makes sense b/c its the biggest picture of all the sagas [10 VHS long]
