Exactly what they're saying at toonzone - specially that last line.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
It's not that it HAS a summary, more that it totally appeals to us. Read it again, especially the last line.

The original box sets are pretty rare. Especially to someone who doesn't have many resources in terms of importing.

The singles on the other hand...

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

The last line is really good.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

That is very well-written.
Some of those lines I recognize from the Funi's commercial for it, but somehow it hits home more seeing it in print.
On hiatus.

It might also have something to do with it not being yelled at you by dub Vegeta.

Well, it was, in Japan. But with Funimation's pricing/release plan, it doesn't have to be rare here.

In fact, this might've been Funimation's best idea yet.

Not too bad and it's good that they did not put over 9000 all over it.

Yeah, they did the same thing with Dragonball Season One. They made it seem more "mature" because, in fact, most of the fans watching that set are in their 20's. They could have made it like the Dragonball Z Remastered sets, but the fanbase is much more mature than in the past. Instead of just making the fanbase seem like hyperactive 12-year olds. Those kids have moved on to Naruto and Bleach. With the Dragon Box description, they really made it seem like the freakin' second coming. The Dragon Box is really here. All out wishes have come true. :D :D
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Fan of Dragon Ball Z and various other Anime since '98! ^^

Haha, well at least you're mature about the series. Unlike most of the younger fandom. :P

Damn straight, Amazon! Forget about those Season Sets.
Amazon.com wrote:Each episode is presented in Japanese ...
Hmm. Is it possible that FUNimation will drop the English audio track(s) on this set or is Amazon just leaving out information?

The sets default to the Japanese language track may be what they mean. By the nature of the term though, there has to be something else as an option. There's definately going to be some kind of English track.

Is this set going to end up rare? What I mean is will it only have a limited release?

It's a nice little paragraph, but honestly it needs a giant feature/editorial+lots of pictures to deter and possibly inform all of the ignorant people that it's not "the same thing over again, but for more money"

The 1-star reviews on there are so "urrghhh!!" I can't describe it any other way. Some people just don't get it... some people don't want to make an informed purchase. They just publish whatever dribble they thought of within 30 seconds, and then other idiots read it and believe them.

*shakes fists up and down*

God dammit Funi... You just had to put out widescreen crap that you knew would sell like hot cakes and free beer, so now everyone thinks that the whole series is out and make the Dragonball fan seem twice as retarded as ever. Sigh... I'm too tired to rant anymore. So [/rant]

Also, the paragraph doesn't mention that it's fullscreen. I know, it's in the details thing, but I'm sure half of the people looking at Dragonball Z stuff aren't going to notice. It sure doesn't look like they have, anyways...
