Dragonball: Season Two Discussion

Post by Undercooked Sausage » Thu Oct 22, 2009 3:17 pm

Just got my shipping confirmation email last night. My sets in Iowa currently and I live over in Illinois so it's probably only going to be a day or two. Though I doubt there will be much difference in video/audio quality, I wonder if we'll get a trailer for Season three or the Dragonbox, since we have no idea when Season 3 or any further Dragonboxes are coming out.

According to the tracking number, mine will be here Monday.

Meaning, it will miss the weekend and I won't have time to watch it until next weekend. Toorific.

Love the Red Ribbon arc too. >:/

Bah, it came today, immediately popped in the last disc for the trailers, no dbox trailer, makes me wonder why their marketing is so low-key.

No information on Dragonball season three either, just the exact same trailer as the first one except with "Season three coming soon" at the end.

You have season two already?!?

Damn, these sets are coming out quick. Dragonball has a vastly lower amount of episodes that DBZ had. So there aren't going to be 9 sets like Z had. At least 5.

It had to be RightStuf. He had the right idea, ordering it earlier than me, and escaping the weekend gap...

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Rightstuf, their distribution is in iowa and I live in Western Illinois.

Not much else to really comment on. Powered through the first disc last night, forgot how obnoxious the Red Ribbon arc is in the anime with the Pilaf/monkey episodes starting off the set. :?

What were the extras? Any 'coming attraction' videos?

Wow! This is already shipping out? Time really has flown by...

I've only finished one disc of Season One, so I'm not in a big rush to get this, and I'll probably just wait till it shows up at Walmart, since it'll be roughly the same price.

As an aside, I sent a question to FUNi on Twitter about whether or not this set would see a similar one month-ish delay between release and showing up in Walmart.

And, as another (slightly off-topic) aside, since this set technically releases a week before the new DragonBox street date... Does that possibly mean we might start getting shipping confirmations for it within the end of the week? Because that would be really, really cool.

These come out November 10....

Good grief, they might as well dub November 10 "Dragon Ball Day" with all the Dragon Ball stuff that's coming out that day. Regardless, I'll still pick this up eventually.

You'll most likely get them next week, yes.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I left the set at my girlfriends house and I can't remember what trailers there were(I don't really follow any anime but Dragonball), but theres a trailer for an Alabasta era One Piece dvd and a Dragonball trailer which says "Season Three coming soon."

No Dragonbox trailer, no Dragonball Kai trailer, and no release dates on any Dragonball-related merchandise.

Until anyone actually has this set in their possession... the relevance of a discussion thread for it doesn't make a whole lot of sense or logic. Please keep your comments until then. Thanks! :)

Hooray! Over 740 minutes of misunderstood puns! I'm gonna go play in the suno and have an iced flappe afterwards.

Character bios include:

Goku
Bulma
Snow
8-chan
Bora
Upa
Karin
Turtle Hermit
Lunch
Kuririn
Red Ribbon Army
Commander Red
Adjutant Black
General White
Sergeant Metallic
Murasaki
General Blue
Taopaipai
Pirate Robot

Those in red are the only ones with "Enemy Profiles." The other villains are incorporated into those profiles.

And holy crap, the set goes up to Episode 61, where Goku finally gets to Karin Tower, pretty much covering the entire events of Goku fighting RR's forces until he has to deal with Red himself. Gah, have to finish the 21st Tournament...
